And thank you guys. Honestly I'm a terrible person to come to for tips because I have never been good at studying. ? Personally I liked to read the chapters page-by-page and make my own notes; I did not like to use the powerpoints. Do plenty of practice questions for topics! You think you know something until you get asked a critical thinking question about it, which will be majority of what the tests will consist of (e.g. your patient is lying in bed and suddenly seems to have trouble breathing, what is your priority action?, etc.).
For now I would say practice nursing math, such as dosage calculations using dimensional analysis, converting between units, reconstitution (bolded because that always got me). A lot of people did not pass the first math exam, including me. Not trying to scare anyone of course obviously I'm still here but I would highly recommend practicing that.
Also, if you buy your supplies early practice how to take manual blood pressure, how to listen for the apical heart rate, how to count breaths. Read up on how to do a head to toe physical examination. Coming in knowing all this stuff will save you some stress for your first demonstration, trust me.
What materials did you use for practicing the math?

A mixture of lecture notes, Youtube videos, and remediation problems we received when we did not pass the first time. If you Google 'nursing math practice' the 4th or 5th result (the public health site and the nr site) shows you problems that will be almost exactly like what you can expect to see.
