Broward College Fall 2020

Anyone Applying to the fall 2020 Nursing program at broward college , that is getting ready to take or have taken the HESI ?

Don’t fret over the points. Relax and enjoy your time off before we eat, sleep, and breathe nursing. Definitely email her. Nichole ALWAYS answers. Trust me, I was crazy blowing up her email as well. She’s the best. ☺️

Hello everyone hope everyone is well!! @ndrullard I wanted to ask you if face to face classes in the fall are going to be for certain, or if things can change based on the possibility of future stay at home orders?

Hmmm....what about orientation?? I wonder how that is going to happen with all of us in a room LOL. Maybe we'll have one online or multiple sessions.

Fall classes are still being worked out. You can monitor the status of returning to campus on the website www.broward.edu/coronavirus.

Pre-admissions (the session after receiving your acceptance letter) for everyone who is accepted will be virtual. I am working out the details. My May class was my guinea pigs (sorry guys!) so I have made some changes and improvements based on feedback I received from them. Don't worry, I will make sure you all get the information you need.

Oh okay thank you I was under impression from the last update from that link that the nursing classes would be face to face in fall but I will keep checking, thanks

My impression from the latest update that only SOME fall nursing classes would be on campus.

Now that I read it again, you’re right! I read it quickly and just assumed it would be all nursing face to face

I understood that as well, from reading the last update. I personally thought that most likely clinicals would be on campus, if hospitals still aren’t allowing students to come in for Clinicals in fall. But that they’d keep what they could online still to keep down numbers of students having to congregate.

Classes that can be held remotely, should still be held remotely. Those that cannot will be face to face following the CDC guidelines and social distancing. That is what is still being worked out. You will be given more information on this, if you are accepted.

Keep in mind, this is all being decided day by day as we navigate the pandemic.
