Anyone Applying to the fall 2020 Nursing program at broward college , that is getting ready to take or have taken the HESI ?

I want to make her so proud. My parent got divorced when I was 12. So it just my mom, my little sister and myself. My dad doesn’t stay in contact with us. My dream is to become an nurse and maybe make my way up to a doctor. (We’ll see how that goes), and I want to be able to pay my mom bills and buy her what ever she want, because she sacrifice a lot for my sister and I. My mom is like my best friend. I am not only doing this for me, but also doing it for her also. I am the first in my family to go to college. LOL so that party she going to throw me, it kinda a big deal ?

Ah man my parents divorced when I was 14. My stepdad came into my life when I was 18....he is the best father figure I could wish for. My mother and I have the same relationship as you and your mother. We are two peas in the pod. I am also the first to go to college in my immediate family. I have a 7 year old son and he's the reason why I do what I do. My son, mother, and step dad is all the motivation I need to get through. We are quite similar, I actually am 3 semesters away from completing my bachelors of science. I wanted to be a doctor as well(anesthesiologist) but then I learned about CRNAs and was blessed to shadow one. I fell in love. Eventually, I will go back to finish the bachelors in science(I love school...I'll be grey and old in a class I don't care).

I think I might buy another in a different color(Caribbean blue)...but I'll wait until I get the acceptance letter ? LOL. My dad is the best, he surprised me with a rolling backpack yesterday. I told him that we haven't heard anything yet but he said screw it....he is positive I got in LOL.

How are you all keeping busy from checking myBC or email every 30 minutes? ?

Good morning! The only reason im not checking mybc every 30 mins is because I keep telling myself to enjoy my Summer off while I can because once we start the program then its go time and bye bye free time LOL I also have the outlook app so I’ll get a notification whenever I get an email so I don’t have to keep logging in to check. But every week that passes is making me a little bit more anxious ?

I promise you don't have to check every 30 minutes! You will make yourself go crazy LOL ? If you are accepted, you will have enough time to respond back to the email.
