Hello!!! Just wondering if anyone else has applied for August 2010 yet? :)

I wonder how they make the decisions that they do? Maybe they throw the apps in a big pile and pull them out randomly? :uhoh3: Really though it would be nice if they would allow the applicants to know how they were being evaluated. A friend of mine has 12 points 92% on the Hesi and applied the first week of June. She is still in review. I had 14 points and 94% on the Hesi and applied before May 15th. I was accepted the first day that acceptances went out. It seems like those who submitted before May 15th were reviewed one way and those after are being reviewed another way.

Good luck to all of those who are still waiting. I'm sure that there will be people who don't show to orientation tomorrow or who have been accepted elsewhere. Likely more people will be accepted after tomorrow.

I truly think to them it is all about how much they can collect in application fees. They don't have seats right now, and I am amazed that they would mislead people this way. This is our future they are playing with.

choosing the highest Points/Hesi would seem like the best way to fill the seats. but it seems they are giving everyone a chance at the expense of people with higher points etc. i would assume there is a method to their madness.

I really hope you guys get in after orientation.

i was told that the first set that met the first deadline got there letters and the second set for 7/15/2010 will have another orientation.

I just want to let everyone know that if you think you should have been accepted especially if you have 8 or more points ... and all your pre reqs are completed... then go in person to find out whats going on. My status kept saying that the application was recieved and that was about it. I went in person and it turned out that I did qualify for acceptance but somebody for got to put a portion of my HESI scores in the system. Luckly i was able to print the scores out to show them what i had... and within 5 minutes of leaving the school i got the acceptance email. If i would have waited 2 more days i would have missed the dealine for going to the orientation. They have a TON of applicants and human errors are bound to happen so if you guys think you should have been accepted already then go in person to talk to the health science advisors.

i want to know more about this July 15 dead line or no deadline business. I also hear that they have numerous of seats left! that is why there is no dealine cust barely anyone applied remember for fall there should be like 400 seats

If they had all these seats left why are soooo many people pending?? Why would that lady tell me that. I am going to speak with a DEAN tomorrow. It is awful how they tell everyone something different.

I called today and North campus as well as central told me "all seats are filled." but everything was kinda scetchy Central said they're still accepting applications which is so bizarre considering they said seats are filled Lady didn't know what to say to me. Everyone is so clueless there it blows my mind. I'm on the other coast of FL so I cant go in person to talk to someone till Monday so if anyone goes in or hears something I'd appreciate the updates.

I know I am upset too...I got all A's and B's not one C. And they have changed their requirements and Criteria like 5 times in the last couple of months. You know the funny thing? When I was there she was telling a girl the deadline had been extended until July 15th! Why are they taking applications? Because they want to continue to take$$$. It's crazy what they are doing and seriously maybe we should consider getting some legal advice. It is truly unfair. I REALLY hard for my grades. I have a 7 and 3 year old kid and home and managed to get those grades. UNFAIR!

Ralphigesbabe, that really seems to be unfair. I see that you have 7 and 3 at home... any tips or hints? I'm similar and I'm struggling with juggling it all. So what did they tell you, to just re-apply for Jan? I heard there is someone in a friend's class that was accepted and she's still in A & P! How can that be? I specifically asked them in the office if you could apply while still in a pre-req class and she said NO WAY. Ugh, they really are frustrating to deal with!

Honestly I think it's just who you know. Because if you know someone there you'll get in. You can't even apply if your pre-reqs aren't completed soo there you go another way they are being unfair and bias!
