Broward College August 2010

Published

Hello!!! Just wondering if anyone else has applied for August 2010 yet? :)

Hi there. I will be applying for August in May. I still have to take the HESI in April and finish up this semester. It seems like it is going to be more competitive than ever to be accepted. I'm so nervous already!!

Oh, I know! I'm freaking out, too! I submitted everything at the beginning of March... I'm praying I get accepted! Good luck on the Hesi exam!!!:)

Interested in what points everyone has. Summer class was very competetive since there were so few slots available. 12-19pts was needed to secure a seat.

Also, what is HCP0130 like? Mine is a 6hr class once a week.

Will be applying for Jan11 class.

My points just got posted... I have 14... I'm praying that it is good enough! The core class is 6 hours once a week... Very easy... You just learn the basics of everything (vitals, pt. transportation, etc...).

In would think that it will be enough to get in based on all the other class postings.

I'm hoping to get in with that many points too. It will have to do because that's the max amount I can get.

I spoke with the nursing advisor and she said for the May class that 3.6 was the gpa cutoff and that some people with a 3.6 didn't even make it in...but that class had less seats available than August. Anyway, I will also be applying with 14 points and I hope that gets me in. What campus is everyone hoping for?

3.6-you need an A in just about every class for that.

I'll be applying at the North Campus but not until the Jan2011 class. Still need some pre-reqs. Hope it eases up a little by then.

If it's any consolation, competition is tight in all areas of our country right now. It's an economy thing.

I'm not sure what campus I'll be trying for... Maybe south. What about you?

I will be applying to Central or North...not sure yet.

Has anyone taken the Hesi yet? How was it?

I hear anat/phys can be tough.

I took it at the end of Feb... The A&P was a bit tricky, just 'cause you didn't know exactly what to expect. Just make sure you review everything!!
