hey to all,
right now i am at a lost for words because i just checked my email with broward college and i was accepted, so i know that others must have received a confirmation. just to confirm it i called and spoke with twanna burnee and she confirmed it. so, good luck to all others who have applied. to be completely honest, i really didn't expect to get accepted since it was a very last minute thing. cheers to me and others for the summer program!!!!!!!! i am in, i am really in.........:yeah:
:yeah:
BMLEX010,It's difficult to advise students who are about to enter the program. Some say, "Relax b/c you'll be completely committed to the program when you being." While others recommend that you read ahead so you're prepared. Just figure out what is best for you.
Thanks hun, I will try that for sure!
I had originally applied to PBCC at the Belleglade campus, but didn't get in. I was so heart broken. I did get into Browards May program. I had a 3.8 prereq gpa. I am very excited. I live in Palm Beach so I definetely need to make arrangements on renting out my current home. Congrats to everyone that made it. For those who didn't, keep your head up, your acceptance is right around the corner. Good Luck!!!

hey layna420,
that is great and congrats on your acceptance. hopefully we can work together or carpool sometimes.
Thanks BMLEX010, same to you. Are you from the Palm Beach area? The drive for me would be about 45 minutes. I am trying to move closer just to be more convienient. No matter what I am going. This is 18 month program and if we just study and stay determined, before we know it we will be Nurses!

yes, i am from the palm beach area. the drive isn't that long for me either, maybe 30 minutes. i know one thing, i haven't started yet, but i sure am trying to prepare my self, mentally  that is.
Layna-
I am assuming you are taking pharm at PBCC, right? Which professor are you taking and how do you like the class so far. I was expecting it to be a lot of info, but I was just wondering as far as style of teaching, test style, etc. I don't mind having to work hard in a class, but I don't like it when the professors are horrible and you don't really learn anything. I had a Chem class like that. The man was the worst professor I've ever seen, and everyone I've ever talked to who has taken his class didn't walk out of there with anything higher than a C. I don't wish to go through that again, lol.
2Bnurse....
How do you like Marshall? She has an online class, too, or is that Alexander? Good luck on your exam :)
sunraygurl,
i like Marshall she very nice, her exams are not too horrific (only took 1 btw). i would recommend her. she is a very fair teacher. i let you know how things are in the middle of the semester when im half way thru.
if you have an elephant memory you will A's the class, most if it is purely memorization of drugs and side effects. i will keep you posted
I am taking Alexander for the pharm class online. I am taking the 2 credit class cause the nurse director at PBCC said the the 3 credit doesn't transfer for your bachelors anymore. So I figured cheaper to take the 2 credit and it's 1 less paper you have to write. The professor is not bad, although you learn on your own. It's just reading and knowing the information. There are alot of chapters to digest for each test. 5 quizzes, a final(in person) and a paper you have to write. Not sure if I made the right choice of taking it online. I will let you know. I recommend getting it out of the way if you can before you start the program because that alone is difficult. Lots of luck to you.

Honeybee723,
The transition program is not as competitive to get in to as the generic program. You probobly got in. My program admit status is "Y" as well.
