Brookhaven Nursing Program 2012 Class

Published

Hello everyone, I would like to know who's applying to Brookhaven this fall for their Spring 2012 class, if so how many with how many points? I will be taking my last support course this summer, which is my elective (PHIL 1304). I am so excited, upon completion of this course I will have 32.39 points. I can't tell how nervous I am, I hope this is enough. Any advice from previous or current nursing program is welcomed.

LOL!!! That's more thinking than what I've done about it!! I have no idea what their going to do?? But this waiting is going to kill me! I do not think we'll find anything out before next Monday, at least.

So someone in my Dosage class said that Brookhaven just signed a contract with UTA so Brookhaven nursing students can get their RN to BSN through them...She said that this was discussed at the nursing info session a few weeks ago....I hope they post more info about this soon because I sure am interested!

I wonder if it will be like Collin County College, they are contracted with some university (can't remember what one) so their nursing students can go on and get their RN to BSN at community college prices...that is really awesome!

The community college pricing sounds amazing! I wish I had known that when I first started taking classes. I only have one more semester of pre-reqs and I will be good to go whether I apply for UTA for my bsn or go RN-BSN.

Hmm interesting... I know that Brookhaven has a similar contract with Tech right now, and El Centro has one with UTA. I think Collin County's school they're contracted to is TWU. I was planning on bridging through Tech because of that, but UTA might be more convenient since the campus is closer! I'm just a couple pre-reqs away from being able to do BSN as well.

Yeah I guess Brookhaven just signed their contract with UTA on the day of the Oct. info session so they didn't give out too many details at the info session about it. Looking forward to the next info session in December and I hope we find out more then!

I plan on starting to take my RN to BSN pre-reqs this Spring because I will be done with all the pre/co-reqs for the Brookhaven program this December (other than End of Life which I am taking in the Spring).

Hey y'all - I was looking up BSN pre-reqs for different schools, deciding if I should take any flex classes this semester and found this article on UTA's RN-BSN program :)

Awesome, Ladies!! Thanks for all the info; it's got my mind racing!! 'Everyone having a good weekend? I'm just trying to keep myself busy during this waiting period. Whatever happens, I'm just thrilled to be among the top 50 applicants; that in itself makes me happy. Sure a spot in the top 40 would be icing on the cake, but I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch, so to speak! How's everyone dealing with the pressure??

I just spent about 6 hours at the park with my son, and I'm about to start making candles for Christmas. I've tried to stay away from my laptop because I've started looking for back up plans in case I don't get in and that's not doing my nerves any good!

How are you guys doing?

So 50 people were interviewed and 40 will be accepted in the program correct? What are the numbers for the Fall 2012 class, does anyone know?

They interview 70 for the fall and take 60.

Wow...those are great chances for both fall and spring admission. As long as you get called back for an interview you have a good chance of getting it. I would hate to be one of those 10 people who don't make the cut though *knocks on wood*..that's like being teased lol
