  1. rbrandnew, I need HELP!!!! I've read your thread and it has some really helpful tips...all I need to do now is learn how to apply it! Can you go over another example with me related to CHF or angina??? I've got a test on Cardiovascular in less than 2 weeks!! I know it's a lot to ask, but I feel overwhelmed, I memorize everything like you stated you previously used to do and everything gets jumbled up, I sit down to take the test and everything I learned escapes memory! If you can please share an example of something I have to learn now, I think it'll help me tremendously! Thank you for all of your help! -Kasey
  2. Sent my request, too!! :)
  3. HPRS 1203, End of Life; I haven't taken it yet, so I need to get that under my belt!
  4. I here you!! Also, I'm going to call AC after we get our info packet and ask if HPRS 1204 can be substituted still...they used to let you because 1203 is so hard to get into being that they usually only offer 1 class w/ such few spots! I can take 1204 over next wintermester if she says it's a go! On the other hand though, I would like to just get it over with and out of the way! December is going to be so busy for me with the court case and Canada, not to mention getting all of our nursing requirements done before the spring semester begins.
  5. Hey ya'll...Escape, I like the Winks brand, too! They've got some really cute scrub tops!! SugarMag, I don't know if I want to take EOL now either! I want to test the waters and see how demanding the program will be before I add a class in the 1st semester. But on the other hand, if the 1st semester is the easiest, hmm?
  6. I hear ya!! I guess we've waited this long, so a few more days won't hurt! It still bugs me, though!!!
  7. Okay, so everyone had to accept or decline by 4 pm......so where's our packet info???? Ughhh!!! Sorry, I guess I'm being a little impatient, but I wanna know what's next!!!!
  8. Awesome, thanks for letting me know..I'll check it out!! :)
  9. Thanks, SugarMag!!! Do the lab scrubs have to be hunter green too? That may sound like a stupid question, but I have to ask! You got a lot of stuff for $180.. that's awesome!!
  10. I Totally understand! And I'm glad that it's working itself out for you! It's difficult and I can empathize. I am lucky and owe so much to my husband for supporting my educational endeavors! I wouldn't have been able to do this any other way.
  11. How is all that going for you anyway?? Were you able to secure financial aid for the program? I know you were worried about that! My last 2 years working as a flight attendant, I put back every dime I could to pay for this program and then my husband told me I could quit, so I did! Not working and going into this program is a huge load off of my mind and I'm grateful to my hubby for carrying us! And Brookhaven is notoriously bad when it comes to getting the financial aid processed!
  12. Good Morning, SugarMagnolia!!! This is going to sound a little strange, but I have jury duty that week....Honest!! Some theft trial here in Denton, so I'm going to have to take CPR at the fire station or somewhere else here in Denton. I just want to get it over with this month, so I can get thru jury duty in December. I've never been on a jury before...hopefully, it will not take any longer than three days! I have already tried to get out of it, but since I'm not a full-time student this semester, I can not get an exemption!
  13. the Landau scrubs look to be the same exact color online, but in person, could be a different story; they have some cute scrub tops! I think they put 2 pockets on women's clothing because women tend to like thing symmetrical or balanced....just a theory!
  14. Ihey've got so many cute styles of scrubs out there now, it's amazing and there's so much to choose from!! I've been looking at Cherokee, Swan, and Dickies..it's so hard to choose, I like them all!
  15. My CPR card expired so I MUST take it again!!! Hot wings and beer is a good combo!!! As far as shoes go, I haven't a clue??? My sister has been a nurse for 14 years, now she's in management, but I do not even think she knows the best shoes to buy at this point, so I won't even ask her!! I think it's great that your work place will reimburse you for your shoes...that's awesome!!! Have ya'll been looking at scrubs yet??
