U.S.A. Texas

Hello everyone, I would like to know who's applying to Brookhaven this fall for their Spring 2012 class, if so how many with how many points? I will be taking my last support course this summer, which is my elective (PHIL 1304). I am so excited, upon completion of this course I will have 32.39 points. I can't tell how nervous I am, I hope this is enough. Any advice from previous or current nursing program is welcomed.

Ashlee - just ordered my Foundations text, it will be here on Friday! Could you let me know what those chapters were y'all needed to read for your first test?

Thanks so much!

Hello!

My husband is set to take the HESI exam next week for entrance into the Fall 2012 program. I would LOVE to speak to someone who is currently in the program. I am nervouse as to how its going to go. I work full time, husband does school full time and we have two kids ages 6 and 4. I am worried about clinicals what we will have to do with our kids. So excited for him, but yet so dang nervous!

HELP!

Hi Stephanie, I am a first-semester student at Brookhaven. It's definitely a lot of work! If your husband isn't working, that should really ease the burden. I'm currently working 20 hours a week and going to school, and it is difficult for me to get everything done. As for clinicals, they are one day a week during the first semester (at least for us, I know they like to change things up pretty often), so that's just one day that the kiddos would need special arrangements. Hope the HESI goes well for him, let me know if you have any other questions!

I should add that he is attending Brookhaven

There are quite a few people in our class that have children. I'm first semester as well, and I also have a 5 year old. I work 21 hours a week, and my husband works full time. For me I have two days a week that are completely taken with school, one is for lecture & open lab(and open lab is a must), and the other for clinicals. They give a schedule a couple weeks before class starts, but it changes a lot. So that is sometimes a struggle. Oh and he needs to have a lot of time to study for the tests. Our lecture class's exams cover about 15 chapters a piece and are about every 3-4 weeks.

Thank you sugarmagnolia and escapebigd. He made an 87.20 on his HESI and he was not happy about it...im stressing!! i know whatever happens with the program we can make it work...i just want him to get in!
