Hi!
I can't seem to locate a thread regarding applicants for Brookhaven's fall 2015 nursing program... so I wanted to start one! If there is another, please redirect me- thanks!
I plan to apply in February for acceptance to Brookhaven's fall 2015 class. I am working on my dosage calculations course by 2/20 (cutting it close!) and that is all I have left! It looks like they changed the point scoring system since just a few months ago- did anyone see that? I am always looking for guidance and support in this process, so, I am hoping this thread can provide that for me and everyone else involved!
I look forward to virtually meeting other BH fall '15 applicants!
The nursing curriculum has reduced hours by state mandate (all nursing programs have I believe) hence the reduction in points and change of classes for application. It was revamped, and I believe they have not updated the website to reflect such. I am not certain, but I believe that End of Life is not a requirement any longer. I also believe that Pathophysiology is not a requirement; however, if you have taken the class, it is worth a point. I would call and ask what is now required before registering for any additional classes.
I have completed all of my support courses. If you have not done so, I hear it is much harder on you once in nursing school if you have to combine the work load of support courses with the work load of nursing school classes.
The upside to that is that you get to make a first impression!! I get to make a second impression, I am assuming. haha.Great... I hadn't thought of the fact that I would be in the very first group! Damn... now I am even more nervous,Oh well, I have always been one to just go ahead and get it over with

I wrote down X1085, too! I am so glad I'm not the only one questioning myself on if I wrote down the time correctly, lol. I feel like a crazy person these days. Trying to keep my mind busy until the 17th. How the heck will I do that??!
