I can't seem to locate a thread regarding applicants for Brookhaven's fall 2015 nursing program... so I wanted to start one! If there is another, please redirect me- thanks!
I plan to apply in February for acceptance to Brookhaven's fall 2015 class. I am working on my dosage calculations course by 2/20 (cutting it close!) and that is all I have left! It looks like they changed the point scoring system since just a few months ago- did anyone see that? I am always looking for guidance and support in this process, so, I am hoping this thread can provide that for me and everyone else involved!

The nursing curriculum has reduced hours by state mandate (all nursing programs have I believe) hence the reduction in points and change of classes for application. It was revamped, and I believe they have not updated the website to reflect such. I am not certain, but I believe that End of Life is not a requirement any longer. I also believe that Pathophysiology is not a requirement; however, if you have taken the class, it is worth a point. I would call and ask what is now required before registering for any additional classes.
I have completed all of my support courses. If you have not done so, I hear it is much harder on you once in nursing school if you have to combine the work load of support courses with the work load of nursing school classes.
Regarding this uncertainty who would be the best person to contact about this??? The advisors?
UTA was just at el centro taking to the advisors last week about updated uta transfer program and classes. I picked up a sheet on the program of whats needed for the Bachelors program.
Hey my name is Kajeen and I have been reading this thread and finally registered. I applied to the fall 2015 nursing program at Brookhaven as well. I have 26.03 points and I have an interview Friday. I'm so nervous! I hope we all get in good luck to everyone!!!!
Yes End of Life Issues is not a requirement anymore. I have taken it this previous semester fall 2014 but literately in the middle of class they told us that it was no longer required and that now ethics was required.
