I can't seem to locate a thread regarding applicants for Brookhaven's fall 2015 nursing program... so I wanted to start one! If there is another, please redirect me- thanks!
I plan to apply in February for acceptance to Brookhaven's fall 2015 class. I am working on my dosage calculations course by 2/20 (cutting it close!) and that is all I have left! It looks like they changed the point scoring system since just a few months ago- did anyone see that? I am always looking for guidance and support in this process, so, I am hoping this thread can provide that for me and everyone else involved!
I look forward to virtually meeting other BH fall '15 applicants!
I keep going back and forth between wanting to dance and wanting to vomit... I don't even know why because I am not that nervous about the interview. I think I am terrified I won't get in and I will have to wait a whole other semester! Big life changes too... I think I read we are required to have health insurance while we are in the program right?
My interview is scheduled for Weds at 1030am and I have just under 27 points. I'm also in between wanting to dance and wanting to vomit!! I'm nervous for the interview, but I'm also nervous for the HUGE life changes if I get in! As far as what I'm wearing, it'll likely be dress slacks and a blazer.
I'm very nervous too, and I'm excited at the same time. I know we all have good chances of getting in, but it still makes me terrified that I won't. I don't want to have to wait yet another semester! I am not sure what I'm wearing yet. I don't have any slacks that fit properly, so either I'll buy some or I'll wear a dress with a sweater or cardigan and flats.
It is so nice to know everyone feels similar to how I am feeling!!!! It's a Great dance/vomit combo!! I haven't been to school since fall of 2011 so this is going to be major adjustment. Of course it will be for everyone just cause none of us will be used to the type of work/workload!!!!! After interviews ... I forget when we will be notified the result?!
My interview is on Friday at 1:00. I am a bit nervous as well. I had a friend that applied with 19 points, and she did not get an interview. I am wondering if anyone with 20 points received an interview invite. I tried to find out what the lowest points were; however, they do not disclose that information.
Soooo we wait for our interview and wait for acceptance notices. Best wishes to all!!!!
So how is everyone feeling this morning? I'm a little more calm finally, but as you can see I am still relentlessly stalking this forum... so maybe I am not as relaxed as I think :)
I'm still pretty nervous!!! I really hope I get in!! I applied to El centro also but I would prefer to get into Brookhaven!! We should all keep in touch and whoever gets in we should stay in touch and form a study group! Because just reading all these posts it's seems like we all have a support group going on! I love it!
@eelittle Hey sorry for the late reply. I had to put myself on probation, I was going crazy. I got a little over 20 points. I well say that my friends only two people got more points than I. I think its unfair for me to give up their deets.. Yeah having a mini support group keeps me off the ledge.
