Brookhaven Nursing Fall 2015

Published

Hi!

I can't seem to locate a thread regarding applicants for Brookhaven's fall 2015 nursing program... so I wanted to start one! If there is another, please redirect me- thanks!

I plan to apply in February for acceptance to Brookhaven's fall 2015 class. I am working on my dosage calculations course by 2/20 (cutting it close!) and that is all I have left! It looks like they changed the point scoring system since just a few months ago- did anyone see that? I am always looking for guidance and support in this process, so, I am hoping this thread can provide that for me and everyone else involved!

I look forward to virtually meeting other BH fall '15 applicants!

Yay!! I got my email!!!!! 25.99!!! thank you thank you ~~

Last fall one student got in with 24 points. So don't lose hope

Got my email - 21.47 points. :-/ Doesn't make me feel very confident about an interview. Does any know (or have you asked) what the competitive points are? What points they will likely call for an interview?

Don't lose hope, wait till the email arrives!

See?!? Ya'll with the 27ish points are the new people with the 30ish points from last cycle. I hope I'm not being too optimistic but EVERYTHING dropped by 3-4 points... I should've had a 27 last cycle and now I have a 23.83... And with 32-24 points being accepted last year, it seems like everyone 20 points plus should be competitive if we are looking at a 7 point range for interviews. But again, who knows... Wishful thinking on my part too! Haha. They did tell me they think 24 is going to be the average points who get an interview. But she said that really there is no way of knowing because they have no clue either. So I'm really trying not to get my hopes up about getting an interview, but I'm obviously still majorly hopeful and incredibly nervous!!! Gah, good luck everyone!!!

If I drive elittle it is about 7-8 hrs .... I have travel benefits on American Airlines so I will certainly be trying to fly into DFW from Corpus Christi! Did you recalculate your points????

I got my email. 21.67 If the average for interviews is 24, that leaves me out...super bummed.

No! If that's the average, then that means that it's the middle and that would have to include people with 19, 20, up to whatever the highest number is. Don't say that! We've got this!! And besides, she even said she had no idea and that was just their guess. So don't take it too seriously. Don't get down about anything! Nothing is set in stone :)

Well, that is good. I have a friend that applied last application period, and they called her withing five days of application to tell her that she missed by one point or half point to be in a candidate. She applied this application period with 19 points, and they did not call her to eliminate her. So, I am thinking and hoping that we all get interviews. I was also reading the spring 2015 thread, and it seems that all of those people recieved interviews. Then, some of them didn't get in; however, I was reading it while at work which means I could have missed something.

Anyway, hopefully we will all get interviews and get accepted, too!!

Does anyone have confirmation of when the interview emails are going to be sent?
