I can't seem to locate a thread regarding applicants for Brookhaven's fall 2015 nursing program... so I wanted to start one! If there is another, please redirect me- thanks!
I plan to apply in February for acceptance to Brookhaven's fall 2015 class. I am working on my dosage calculations course by 2/20 (cutting it close!) and that is all I have left! It looks like they changed the point scoring system since just a few months ago- did anyone see that? I am always looking for guidance and support in this process, so, I am hoping this thread can provide that for me and everyone else involved!

I'm flying out on 4/9 for my best friends wedding that I'm in so God willing I get an interview, suuuuper hoping I can get one early in the week... Otherwise, may be late to the wedding... But yeah, my points matched what I turned in which was great bc they still needed to approve my micro from another college
They email you the interview date,so you get to pick what day you want to be interviewed. Last semester it was Tuesday and Thursday only . I picked Thursday.
I GOT MY EMAIL!!! But... it's 1 point less than I thought I had? I am going to double check my math and the person I talked to before I turned it in's math... I am sure Nancy is correct though. Now I am just short of 27 points... I hope that's enough!
I'm sorry eelittle!! But really, I think you still have the highest point number here on the forum, so I can't imagine you not getting an interview!! I mean, there is no way people are applying with points in the 30's again with the new requirements. Or at least I would be shocked. But totally double check your math and it doesn't hurt to check in with Nancy about it! Where is everybody at on points now?

Got my email - 21.47 points. :-/ Doesn't make me feel very confident about an interview. Does any know (or have you asked) what the competitive points are? What points they will likely call for an interview?
I wish there was a way to figure out what is competitive.. All I know is that 40 is the highest you can get (all As in prereqs, 100% on HESI, completing all 5 additional core courses with A's on the three that have a point value associated with letter grade)... but I can't even begin to figure out what competitive would be. I want to email and ask but I am not sure she would even respond!
We have to remember things like, there are a lot of people that apply that are likely accepted into other programs, leaving openings. I think that we are definitely all in it still with everything taken into consideration!

Ask her about your points! she responds very fast, I remember exchanging emails with her last application.She is very nice
