I can't seem to locate a thread regarding applicants for Brookhaven's fall 2015 nursing program... so I wanted to start one! If there is another, please redirect me- thanks!
I plan to apply in February for acceptance to Brookhaven's fall 2015 class. I am working on my dosage calculations course by 2/20 (cutting it close!) and that is all I have left! It looks like they changed the point scoring system since just a few months ago- did anyone see that? I am always looking for guidance and support in this process, so, I am hoping this thread can provide that for me and everyone else involved!
I look forward to virtually meeting other BH fall '15 applicants!
Ugh, I don't want to wait a few more weeks! It says on their schedule that interviews are the week of April 6.. so I would imagine that they would give us notification about an interview with a little time to plan, right? Maybe the week of the 30th?
Been a couple of weeks since I logged onto this forum. I am getting more and more anxious as the time comes. If I don't get an interview I'll just be devastated! 10 more days for point status... I think I can, I think I can!
Ditto... to all of that! My life could change SO MUCH in the next few weeks! If I am accepted, I'll be quitting my full time job (I have been working full time for over 15 years..),I will have to find and pay for my own health insurance, I will have to get all of my dr and dental appointments in before August, I will have to focus harder on saving every single penny I make, I will have to travel home to see my family since I am assuming there will be no time to travel once nursing school begins.. I will have to start planning for a smaller, more affordable rent...and I will have to prepare my boyfriend for a super stressed out, busy, crazy gf through December 2016! LOL. I am just ready to know if my life is changing or not.. it's kinda scary!
I feel the very same way!!! Can we just get this over with already....I am a pretty patient person bp but this outcome determines if we even move the the DFW area! AH getting anxious as I'm sure all of you are too!!
I am part of a group of friends/classmates that are applying (4). I thought checking (stalking) this thread would make me feel better. Welp I was wrong it only made me more anxious . However, I do feel better knowing its not 500 applicants. Good Luck to everyone.
I havnt had time to think much about the waiting game yet. But my points were lower than I thought since they took away HPRS and added the ethics course. SO my points were only 22, I thought they were going to be almost 24. I will try again next semester, try to improve my score a bit with bring my micro grade up and taking the ethics course required now.

Welcome!!! This thread has been really helpful, I am glad you joined! But... I think we are ALL anxious! There are 4 of you?? It would be neat if you got to enter the program with 3 other people you know! How many points did ya'll apply with??
I can't wait to find out if I get an interview or not! I applied to Uta and el centro as well. Did any of you apply to other schools?
Nope, I sure did not apply to any other schools! At my age, a 16 month program is what I need! Not to mention, the tuition is much lighter on my already existing student loans .. and it is a great program to boot!
I have decided, however, that if (heaven forbid!) I don't get in for the fall semester, I will apply to UTA, TWU and El Centro as well as BH again. Let's hope I don't have to do that!
