Hi!
I can't seem to locate a thread regarding applicants for Brookhaven's fall 2015 nursing program... so I wanted to start one! If there is another, please redirect me- thanks!
I plan to apply in February for acceptance to Brookhaven's fall 2015 class. I am working on my dosage calculations course by 2/20 (cutting it close!) and that is all I have left! It looks like they changed the point scoring system since just a few months ago- did anyone see that? I am always looking for guidance and support in this process, so, I am hoping this thread can provide that for me and everyone else involved!
I look forward to virtually meeting other BH fall '15 applicants!
That makes me feel better!!! So, if we get notified of points only on March 20 (only 19 days!), when do we find out if we are invited for an interview?! Lopri211: I LOVE that! Hopefully you are just now learning of your psychic abilities:laugh:! I hope it comes true, too!!! (As I sit here working on micro and pharm homework thinking there had better be a payout:wacky:)
Yep! I had to put it in my schedule plan then log on as soon as registration started in order to get in! It's both a blessing and a curse- it's good because I work 40+ hours and going to a class and a lab would be so hard for my schedule.. but it's bad because on top of the class, I had to spend an additional $500 to purchase a microscope and a lab pack and a book and there is NO way around it. Not to mention, it's a LOT of work with a little bit of support... I will be VERY happy when I am done with this class. I have a lab due every saturday that I have to prepare days in advance, an exam every two weeks.. and Im terrified about the unknown project (do yo have to do one of those?) because the documents online about them are so confusing. Sooooooo... if taking it in class was feasible for you, count your lucky stars! :)

wow online for micro!? I took micro in class and I really enjoyed it but it was longgg..
how does micro online class work? What about the specimens, how'd you get those? Like the e.coli bacteria etc.
Yes! All of the specimens came in the $350 labpaq I had to buy. That came with specimens and all the extra instruments and supplies I would need..EXCEPT the microscope, which I also had to purchase... that class alone cost me nearly $700 just to take it online:bluecry1:
That is expensive! Good luck to you, I think Microbiology is fun! I like it than Chemistry.
Only 11 days until we are notified of our points status... does anyone know what that means, exactly? Is this when we find out if we are invited for an interview? If not, does anyone know when/how that happens???
In 11 days, they only notify you the points you have, then after few weeks you'll receive an email for interview.
