Brookhaven Nursing applicants - Spring 2018

Published

This is a forum for anyone applying to Brookhaven college ADN program for Spring 2018.What tips can you offer? Any challenges? How was the dosage calculation exam? Any tips for the critical thinking exam and the interview? How many points are you applying with?

I know I can take Hesi only once per application period with Brookhaven, but El Centro lets me take it as many time as I want to. So how does that work if I would like to retake for El Centro If I need to but I don't want to be disqualified for Brookhaven.

Unfortunately, you'll have to weigh the risks. If you retake, you'll be disqualified for the BHC program. However, if it's not your first choice and you prefer El centro, then retake it. How'd you do on it and what's it being your BHC points to? It might not be worth retaking.

Hey, I was wondering how many points you will have on your application?

I have 33.56. Praying like you wouldn't believe that it'll be enough!!!!

Bhc accepts once hesi test on the filling period. So if i took the hesi twice on August, it was fine right?

I can officially tell you is that I know it's only supposed to be taken once. I know that some schools automatically toss out your application if you retake the HESI But I'm not sure if BHC does that. I suggest you go see Barb Huntsburger because she'd be able to give you a definite answer as well as review your application.

Girl, I'm right there with you!! I know a few people at about 33/44 points! I pray we get accepted. Last spring, the dean told me "all 33s got acceptance into the program to my knowledge" - I know the point system however, changes per application pool but his words give me hope!!! Lol

Well lets hope that's the case this go round as well!!

Hi everyone, I have been following these forums since spring 2017. And this is my right time to fill the application for spring 2018. I submitted my application last Monday. I will be applying with 37.20 points. Good luck everyone.

So I just finished my HESI and I am happy I got a 90....so I am applying with 37 points....currently taking pharmacology, ethics, and pathophysiology. So I hope to get in for spring! I will be more than Happy! All the best!

Does anyone know what the hours are at the office? I was going to drop off my packet first thing in the morning...but not sure if 8 is too early?

From what I've been told there is really no way of them knowing that you took the test multiple times unless you take it at the same testing center. How true that is idk. I wouldn't try and find out either lol. So today I took my Hesi and got an 86.8, CT 12.2. So looks like I will be applying with 33.9 points. Turning application in on Monday. Got my Titers dones about 5 years ago so I'm good with that. Now to wait. I applied for both Tarrant County and now Brookhaven so I'm double waiting this month have been crazy. I think I did good being I decided to apply for Brookhaven at the last minute but thankfully I had already done pharmacology and ethic which made the decision easy.

I just turned in my application with 35.89 points.

Well that is a good score
