Brookhaven Nursing applicants - Spring 2018

This is a forum for anyone applying to Brookhaven college ADN program for Spring 2018.What tips can you offer? Any challenges? How was the dosage calculation exam? Any tips for the critical thinking exam and the interview? How many points are you applying with?

I took my CT on Friday and scored 9.9 points towards my application. However, I did hear a member of the nursing program staff member say the 17th was the last day to take the CT exam - were y'all able to get a definite answer? I believe I will be applying with 33.41 points; I'm not super happy with my score but I hope I make the cut!

Does everyone have their app in order? I'm freaking out! lol

I'm picking up my immunization sheet from my doc tomorrow! I'm hoping to turn in my application sometime on Friday. I'm freaking out too. I've had major anxiety lately! I'm ready to turn it in and get it over with!!

how long did it take for your titers to come back? Did you get the vaccines as well or just the titers?

My titers took 4 days to come back. The mmr came back really low so I got a booster (and had an allergic reaction -_-), Tdap, and meningitis.

I turned my application in today, good luck everyone!

The anxiety is starting to set in for me, too. I take my Hesi on Monday. I'm so ready to get this over with.

I took it back in May, I made a 90.

I've finally got everything in order I think! I took the HESI last week and got a composite score of 91 ish (I took all the sections but I know brookhaven doesn't need all of them). And I just got my immunization records back from the doctor today. I guess I'll be looking everything over and submitting it tomorrow since I'll be at brookhaven for my pharm class anyways. Good Luck ParkerLouis!! I did my titers today so I will be turning things in at the last minute...like on the 29th. But I will go up to Brookhaven everyday to have the nurse check off on my other stuff. I'm nervous and excited and scared and happy that my future is so very close!!! I hope you get in man!!

Don't wait until the last minute like I did. Got my titer results back yesterday and I need the booster for Hep B so can't apply. í ½í¸”

Im so sorry to hear that. Just know that your time is YOUR time...that's what I believe. I look at my 40 years of life and know that my time is now. 20 years ago would've been way too early FOR ME. Your time is coming. Stay encouraged and don't you dare give up.
