Brookhaven College Spring 2017

Published

I am hoping to be part of the Brookhaven College Spring 2017 Nursing Class and I want to start a new thread where other potential students can communicate with one another. I am almost done with my pre-requisites. Currently I am working on getting Chemistry and Ethics out of the way. I plan on taking nursing pathophysiology this summer if it is offered.

Any one have any suggestions on how to prepare for the HESI A2? I am also interested in any advice that can help me with my dosage class. I am very nervous about the dosage course since the test must be passed with a 90%. Good luck everyone!

Took my critical thinking exam today and it really was not as easy as i imagined but by God's grace I have everything to apply and my points now add up to 37.5 i hope i make the cut. Good luck everyone!

everyones response to critical thinking exam has me beyond nervous. But with 37.5 I'm sure you'll have a good shot! Good luck!

Hey Didi do not worry yourself too much it really isn't all that bad. Just relax and do the best you can and try and do even better on the Hesi!

Is it really? Cant wait to find out if actually is! And thats great!!! I wonder how competitive this application period going to be!

I'm with you Hannah, hopefully we will have more applicants show up to this thread as we get closer to the cutoff date. I know there's many more out there :specs:

Hello everyone! I am also applying to the Spring 2017 program at Brookhven. I took my HESI last week and finished with a 92%. I took the critical thinking exam last night and agree with you all that it was a bit all over the place, with LOTS of typos. I am receiving 10.5 points from that. I have calculated my total application points to be 39.9 and am hoping and praying to get in! I'm glad this discussion has been created to get to hear about everyone's experiences with the process and tests!

Anyone have any plans or arrangements for work? I work full time mornings atm which I'm sure I'll have to find something new and flexible just curious what everyone does now for work or possibly looking into?

And gj on the point total! ^^^

I just had an interview like 2 hours ago for FT weekend nights at Baylor, (if i get the offer) they said they work with school schedules pretty well. Looking at the program it looks like clinicals are mostly on the weekends 7am to 7pm and classes are during the day through the week so I will probably try to work nights during the week.

Welcome Rae! Congrats on your points! I'm 100% sure you'll be getting in! And hope you get the position at Baylor!

It's for a PCT in Urology. And as for the schedule, I just went to econnect and searched the courses that are in the program to see what the schedule is like for the classes that are going on now. It may be different in the spring but I figured that was a pretty good start to get an idea of what it will be like. There were also some clinicals that were during the week but it looked like you could kind of choose which day you wanted to do it on.
