Bristol Community College Nursing

Published

Hello,

I wanted to know of anyone looking into the Bristol Community College nursing program or who is currently in it or was in it.

I am still taking the competitive pre-req courses right now to be able to apply to the Fall 2011 nursing program for Bristol Community College in Massachusetts. I currently have a 4.0 GPA.

After this semester, I just need to take A&P II (summer class) and Microbiology (Fall class). After that, all of the courses I need for the nursing program are complete except for the actual nursing classes.

If I get accepted into the BCC program for the Fall 2011 class, will I only be able to take 1 nursing class/semester so it's an additional two years from Fall 2011?

Thanks for your input!

I am applied and am waiting to here! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

If you go onto Access BCC, do you still show "non-degree" under your "Major" or whatever your major was? I ask because when I did a search, someone had said their major changed to "nursing" before they physically received the letter in the mail.

Unfortunately, mine still says "non-degree", so I'm hoping they just haven't done anything yet....

me either.

That's awesome! I have a friend that's in the second semester also (Pedi right now?). Do you mind me asking what your gpa/TEAS scores were to get in? It's killing me to wait!!! Do you remember when you received your acceptance letter?

I'm in OB right now...we're switching in just a few weeks. My gpa was 3.94..TEAS was 89.4. GOOD LUCK! :)

Is the program doable with kids? When you applied were you a full time student? What was your major? Thanks :)

Do you have kids? I have 3 little ones!

I have two kids (ages 2 and 5) and I know a lot of people in the program that have more than that. If you're able to manage your time simply by having the kids then you'll be fine!

I have two children and was wondering the same thing. If you have support with help with the kids and can juggle - then I'm sure it'll be fine.

I didn't think that I could even do my other classwork (like A&P's) but did well so keeping fingers crossed :)

Hoping the letters are mailed soon!

I had to call yesterday about one of my classes so I asked if the letters had gone out yet. They informed not yet and would probably go out the end of March..UGH!! I can't take waiting anymore.

I was also wondering if those of you who got in to BCC had any advice to help us get in ..in case we don't get in this time. This is my second time applying.I was placed on the waiting list last year.

UGH! Do you mind me asking what your gpa/TEAS score was? Did you have all of the pre-reqs done?

Looks like my mailman will be running from me for another month until we get the letters. SO frustrating!

My Cum GPA is 3.8 and semester GPA was 4.0. My TEAS score was 85.3. If you don't mind answering..what is your GPA/TEAS score? I can't take this torture any more..lol..I just want to know already. Did you hear from CCRI yet? I hope we all get in.
