Hello,
I wanted to know of anyone looking into the Bristol Community College nursing program or who is currently in it or was in it.
I am still taking the competitive pre-req courses right now to be able to apply to the Fall 2011 nursing program for Bristol Community College in Massachusetts. I currently have a 4.0 GPA.
After this semester, I just need to take A&P II (summer class) and Microbiology (Fall class). After that, all of the courses I need for the nursing program are complete except for the actual nursing classes.
If I get accepted into the BCC program for the Fall 2011 class, will I only be able to take 1 nursing class/semester so it's an additional two years from Fall 2011?
Thanks for your input!
O.M.G. I'm seriously about to lose my lunch. I cannot believe you were waitlisted. How in the heck do we get in?! Now, I'm really losing hope fast. Did you have all of your pre-reqs done? Did you have A&P and Micro complete?
Yes. I had everything done. All preqs and A's in my sciences. I thought I would get in but waitlisted and they never called
Hi All,
Im Still impatiently waiting. I heard through the grapevine that they look at how you obtain your GPA. Did you take a full class load verse one or 2 at a time. I also applied at Massasoit college and Umass dartmouth and when I went into Massasoit nursing info session they said," The dont take students that have 4.0 just by taking 1 class so I dont know how these schools decide. Im sure its tough to pick about 65 students out of 600.
Goodluck!

That is good to know. My cum was from my bachelors degree. I was a full time student and majored in Science. My semester GPA was from 2 courses that BCC requires that I didn't take..Good luck. I also applied to RIC. Waiting stinks..
Hi,No, I'm in micro now. I hve 2 nurses in my class and they said it is. Hell in the program!
I just want to go somewhere. Hows rics program?
RIC's program is great from what I hear. High Nyclex passing rate. They seemed to be very organized. The only downside is that you have to go through summers to graduate in 2 years . It's not ideal with children but if I don't get into BCC that is where I will end up.
