Bristol Community College Nursing

Published

Hello,

I wanted to know of anyone looking into the Bristol Community College nursing program or who is currently in it or was in it.

I am still taking the competitive pre-req courses right now to be able to apply to the Fall 2011 nursing program for Bristol Community College in Massachusetts. I currently have a 4.0 GPA.

After this semester, I just need to take A&P II (summer class) and Microbiology (Fall class). After that, all of the courses I need for the nursing program are complete except for the actual nursing classes.

If I get accepted into the BCC program for the Fall 2011 class, will I only be able to take 1 nursing class/semester so it's an additional two years from Fall 2011?

Thanks for your input!

Has anyone applied to BCC fall 2011?

i applied and am waiting to find out.

what about you mcb5603?

i applied for the fall 2011. waiting to hear. do you know when the letters go out? r u a current student at bcc?

I applied and am waiting to hear. From what I've seen on here and heard from others, the letters go out at the end of Feb. FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!

Good luck and please keep me posted!

I have also applied to BCC. I called admissions and they said they were hoping by mid Feb but because of all cancellation maybe end of feb to begining of march. Has everyone completed everything but nursing?

Yes I have. I am not a current BCC student. I have my bachelors and am applying as a continued ed student. Not sure if that will hurt my chances of getting in. I heard they take students internally first. Not sure how true that is. R u a current student at BCC?

Hi,

Yes i am a student but it is a very competetive program. Im hoping for the best. It was

Very hard to find someone else that applied. How did u do on teas?

I did well. Did you take it yet? I am so nervous that I am a continuing ED student that I won't get in. My GPA is high but that doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. I think they take students internally. I hope I get in. Can you explain the process of how you applied. Were you a general health studies major and than transfered or did you change ur major? I am so curious as to how they select the candidates. It is kind of confusing when your start talking to people. Everyone saids something different. I know it is so hard finding people that have applied to BCC. Hopefully we both can get in :). Please keep me posted.

I applied to BCC as a Liberal Arts student and took all general and science classes. I am taking Micro, Sociology, History and Math. Only thing I need for this program is Child Psyche. I did ok on teas and I made the deans list for last semester. So hopefully..... I went to admissions and put in a transfer application. Just waiting and waiting. Do you have prior medical experience? I am a surgical Tech. Don't know if that will help me or not. In my Micro class is someone in the nursing program and she said that 60% are older students. Keep me posted.:nurse:

No medical experience here. This waiting is killing me slowly.
