  1. I'm taking APII, what are you taking? Yes, I'm so glad I don't have to retake teas, especially since its TEAS V.
  2. Hello everyone!!! I can't believe I'm able to say this... but I got accepted into the program!!! I am sooo happy and so ready for this. Congratulations for everyone who got accepted, we did it guys!!! And to those who are waitlisted or rejected, do not give up hope. One door shuts, another one opens, never give up if this is what you really want. Again... congratulations, our hard work has finally paid off. I know this sound silly, but I am so excited to buy my first pair of scrubs and so excited to wear my school's personalized lab coat. You always see the nursing students with their lab coats around campus and now I'll be one of them, amazing. Is anybody else excited for that? Excited for rotations? I sure am! CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!! :D:D:D:D:D
  3. I got accepted to NVCC too!!! I know exactly how you feel, I've been doing pre-reqs for 2 years too and now this seems unreal, I'm so happy I can call myself a "nursing student" now. I was so nervous, because NVCC is so competitive, but we did it. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Well... First I was really stressing out and having major anxiety about whether or not I'll get accepted and about this dreadful long wait. Now in concentration on APII and Life Span Development and staying positive
  5. I was just as nervous as you if not more. I was really stressing out, it was even giving me anxiety everyday! You know what made it better? Whats done is done, we get nothing out of worrying for these couple months that are left. We've handed our applications, put our hearts into it and now we can only hope for the best. Imagine yourself picking up that acceptance letter and every second you start stressing out about your grades, and the negative possiblities, stop yourself and think positive thoughts, or nothing at all. I've started doing that for the past two weeks and its calmed me down a lot. Hope that helps!
  6. They almost always look at your current GPA, or a GPA from about 5 years before. They will definatly understand that you are different person now, your grades reflect that! With a GPA of 3.8/4.0 you have great chances, so don't worry and good luck!! P.S - Thats great that your back in school now!!!
  7. HEY VannVann My college acceps on a point system/lottery. I hear this year they are accepting 100 people total. 60 by ranking, and 40 by lottery. 50% - GPA (at least 3.0) 25% - Grade in API (at least C+) 25% - TEAS (which must be at least 65%) 60 ppl are accepted by the above score, and 40 ppl are accepted on a lottery, random pool. (Which really sucks for those of us who dont get accepted and have higher grades then those who get accepted by lottery but hey) Anyway, good luck and GREAT THREAD!!
  8. Hi everyone!! First off this is an EXCELLENT thread for all of us who are very stressed out for the outcome of this year's ADN program. I am soo nervous, I have excellent grades, but I didnt' do so good on the TEAS exam so thats making me nervous, but those around me tell me I have a pretty good chance. I must say though, I've had major anxiety that will continue untill I recieve that (hopefully) acceptance letter. I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this stressfull situation. For all you out there, I guess we should just tell eachother that everything happens for a reason and to never give up. If any of us do not get accepted, lets raise our heads high and try again. Lets hope this doesn't happend, but if so never give up, one door closes, another opens. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!
  9. I am applied and am waiting to here! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!
  10. Your the ONLY person who's made me feel so much better about this!! Thanks sooo much! I'll let you know the outcome! Thanks again!!!
  11. Good luck! Although I think you'll definatly get in w/those grades. I'm so nervous :-/ The 76% on the teas is whats making me nervous. I heard they are only taking 100 ppl at NVCC. I really dont like the lottery thing, because 60 ppl will be accepted by ranking, and then 40 ppl by lottery. So that could mean that 40 ppl who dont even care about their grades as much can get in. Not fair for those of us who's life is based on getting good grades to get in the program and become a nurse. Grrr! Like you said, lets hope for the best. Until late April, I'll be dying!!!!
  12. Thanks for your aspiring words, but gosh this is whole nursing thing is giving me MAJOR anxiety. I have to try to be positive like you! Thanks!
  13. I can't view your email cuz I don't have 15 posts. Grrrrrr
  14. Hey StudentnurseCT My first choice is NVCC, second is WCCC, and third CCC. Are you applying or already in the program?? I really hope I can get in, I'm so nervous about it :-/
