I passed the board exam last June 2009. I haven't had any experience yet. I've read this thread but still a little confused. I would like to ask if it's possible for someone with no work experience to take part in this BP. And if so, can someone provide a link where I could request or inquire about application. Thanks.

the first thing to do is to take your ielts if you don't have yet. score of 7 in all subtest are required. second, after passing your ielts, you decide where state you want to register e.g. nmbwa(board of wester australia), nbv in victoria, in queensland, south australia etc. they will assess your qualification and they will inform you wether you are eligible for bp or not (as i know most bp requires experience).but come in july 2010, nursing registration will be at national level meaning those states i mentioned above will not function anymore for registration. all requirements are here in forum. the processing of the application is also available in this forum. more information can be found in other forum here are the links:

(its a very long forum be patient in reading their posts. this forum is very informative)

goodluck... i hope it helps you..

@countmein.I had hep b 3 doses, mmr 2 doses, varicella 1 dose, opv booster, ppd (plus chest pa different from your medical)and anti hbs w/ >10 iu/ml (done after hep b)These vaccines alone will entail 3 months in waiting.I got delayed with my vaccines that's why i suggest get them now while waiting for your letter. Also prepare for the documents needed for uni so that when your letter comes just send it so it won't take long, sometimes unis doesn't respond promply or you may get an agent to push for your application.Kinda difficult if you are an international student.I applied for other unis, deakin it took a while that's why i opted to get an agent.

I lost my baby book and contact with my pediatrician so i decided to repeat all the required vaccines. I read in the website of Victoria that DPT is also required but when i asked my doctor about it she said its no longer needed because im already an adult (she's a pediatrician but not familiar with required vaccines abroad for Australia). It also states in the above quoted post that kuchi did not get a DPT vaccine together with the other required vaccines.. do any one of you guys know?? the DPT Will take 3 months of waiting again if i dont get it yet.. if i need to... thank you in advance! i hope this post would also clarify questions for those who would be completing their vaccines and would be a big help to others! :yeah:
