Here's the test u may need.. immunity for:

Measles

Mumps

Petussis

Hepatitis B

Rubella

Varicella Zoster

The blood test results are the ones u need to pass to the institution where u'r enrolled at, proving ur immunity.. if there is no evidence of immunity you may need vaccination.. then repeat blood test only for that particular immunisation u had

does anybody know what diseases are usually screen in the medical exam to gain entry in Australia? if one contacted tuberculosis or hepatitis, would that hinder your application> thanks:

hello po.. i'm worrying about my application also. i sent it early feb this year via registered mail in their postal address. up until now i haven't receive any replies yet. how long did it took u to receive a reply from them? pls reply asap so i'll know if i have to resend another application.. thanx!

u can actually email them to inquire about the status of your application. Just include your name, address and date of birth. They do reply in a timely manner [i'd say in about two to three days, sometimes same day]. Good luck! :)

Whether a particular disease will "hinder" an application will depend on final analysis of your state of health, and hence, as a Nurse, you will know there is no black and white answer. All your answers are on the net anyway, under our Immigration site. Whether its for Nursing Registration, student visa, short term work, etc. you will require health tests, by Australian Govt. appointed medical officers in Manila, so look here to be prepared:

Australian Immigration Fact Sheet 22. The Health Requirement
