Brandman University ABSN Program

Published

Hi All,

I'm wondering if any one has heard of Brandman University. They have a new ABSN program in San Diego, CA that i'm looking into. My grades are not competitive but i want to get into my career soon.

Has anyone been to this school, and if so, how did you like it? Do you think I'll be able to land a good job as an RN if I were to apply and attend? I'm nervous, since it is a new program! Such as, what if they end up closing and the degree won't be valid ?

Thanks in advance.

I was told could be up until May 4.

Hello @Ni Kai

Those who were granted admission to the absn program are allowed up to 1 week from their admission offer date to finalize and send out their intent to enroll form.

If admission offer was offer at different dates does that mean waitlist people wait longer? WOW! this school is something else.

This program is a bit all over the place that’s for sure. Usually with other programs their admission offers last for 6-8weeks which is the norm so I think it’s odd to have it at 1 week.

Acab did you get in or on the waitlist too?

CONGRATS on your acceptance Acab and everyone else who got accepted.

Hello @Ni Kai,

Yes I got accepted to the program around last week. You will get into the program, it’s just a matter of seat availability ?

I have my academic advising appointment tomorrow and was wondering if anyone was able to transfer credits for their LBSU304 class?

Specializes in Licensed Vocational Nurse.

@nicolie

I just completed my academic advisement appointment and no, unfortunately LBSU 304 and 302 cannot be transferred. They both are courses they want you to take at Brandman.

Also, for anyone wondering A&P I & II can be transferred from National University ?

@619nurse Thank you! I'm hoping I can get out of LBSU302 cause it has the same course description as ILR260 from National

Specializes in Licensed Vocational Nurse.

@nicolie

the counselor said both could not be. But good luck! Wish there wasn’t all this hoop jumping!

@619nurse aw man okay thank you for the heads up. Thank you! I’ll let you know how it goes
