I start w/ a lil gal w/ BPD... HELP!!! I don't recall ever hearing of this!!! what is it? Know of any sites where I can learn more? I don't want to walk in "blind"!!! THANKS!!!!!!!
In case you wanted something else to read, here is a link to the emedicine page with a nice article about BPD. ;>)
Also a little FYI...those kids with BPD can be the most demanding and crabbiest little somebodies you have ever seen!
It is good to hear that this little one is home with her mommy! Like someone else pointed out....make that mom your advocate, she surely has a daily schedule worked out for her! :)
:chuckle I was just about to say the same thing.Originally posted by judy annHmmm. This OB nurse thought of bi-parital diameter- the measurement of the widest axis of the baby's head and very important at time of birth-especially to the mom.
Maybe it's time for the end of abbreviations that can have so many very different meanings!
LOL
LOL... Thanks guys!!! you are the greatest!!! BTW, Nicugal...I got a "taste" of her "grouchiness" yesterday....nothing I did pacified her... I think she had "mommyitis"..:)..soon as mom held her for a few.. the world according to her was A-okay!!! but like I said..love it ..love it love it
Do you have a sat monitor? If so, give the Albuterol if that starts to drop. Otherwise, like for increased RR, worsening retractions, work of breathing. Is she on Os? How much? the kid I'm most familiar w/ had regularly scheduled treatments. What other meds is she on? pm me if you're worried about confidentiality.
