Boston College Masters Entry Program 2010

Published

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone out there has heard back from Boston College for the Masters Entry Program starting in Fall 2010? I was told that we would find out in mid-January and I am very anxious since I haven't heard anything yet!

Thanks in advance for your response!

Lena

I just got an email ! Got into the Women's Health track! :) :) :)

Me too! Yay Women's Health!! It is somewhat upsetting that we have to send a deposit by 2/10, since we won't have heard back from other schools yet, but I don't care, I am too happy!!!!

I know! I'm not sure what I'm going to end up doing since the deadline is sooo quick, but I'm not going to think about it now, just going to focus on the relief that I got into a great school.

I got into the psych mental health program! Congrats to those who got in and good luck to people waiting to hear. I am also a little stressed that the deadline is so soon and the deposit is non refundable, I am still waiting to hear from my other schools. But on the bright side I am officially going to be a nurse practitioner!! woohoooo

Congrats on the good news, everyone! I'm still waiting to hear, ahh! Does anyone know how many people they typically accept? I've heard about 10% but I'm not sure how many applicants they generally get. Congrats, again!

Congrats everyone that has been accepted! If we haven't heard yet are we to assume we haven't been accepted?...

I wouldn't assume anything quite yet. It seems like people have heard at various times over the past two days, not all at once. I'm still holding out hope!

I'm slowly losing hope myself... I guess if they have been going by specialty... I'm out of luck! =\

Congrats to everyone so far though!!! :)

You never know, I was pretty nervous yesterday since people were getting emails and I hadn't. Has anyone found out how many apps they had for how many spots?

When I went to the information session, they said they got around 250 applications. I think the class size is around 35-40, but I don't know how many they admit to get that number enrolled.

I was told a while back from the admissions counselor that they normally receive 300 applications for only 35 positions. It's rough!

Congrats to everyone else that has heard...i am just speculating, but maybe they are admitting people in rounds. Especially since you need to turn in a deposit so soon. From what I understand about Marquette, they admit people in rounds, round 1 is acceptances, rounds 2 and 3 is a mix of acceptances, rejections and wait lists. Maybe BC does something similar? Or maybe not....I am not giving up hope. :) good luck to everyone else who is still anxiously waiting.
