Boston College Masters Entry Program 2010

Hey-

I haven't heard anything yet either and am getting anxious since the deadline was way back in November. I double-checked the online "Eagle Port" that we had access to when we were applying (to make sure our materials were there etc) and it said that decisions would be sent out by mid-February. I originally thought it was middle of January, by Feb the latest, but I guess not. So anytime now!

Where else did you apply? I applied to MGHIHP and Simmons.

I actually just emailed BC to ask because I am nervous, and I was told that letters would be mailed within the next two weeks! Oh man I had been so excited to hear back early! Oh well!!

Anyway, I also applied to MGH, Yale, and Columbia. I had my Yale interview but haven't heard any decisions from the others. Also, I applied to UCSF but I got rejected.

Hey Lena,

Thanks so much for the info!!! I feel so silly, everyday I rush home from work to check the mail! My friend is in the Simmons program right now and last year she applied to MGH and Simmons (got into both). She said she heard from MGH by the end of February which she was surprised about since it was so quick. Congrats on the Yale interview!

I just found this site and can't believe it took me so long to get on here! Probably would have been very helpful before I was applying lol.

Oh man, congratulations penn2007! I wonder if they are sending out decisions by speciality. I applied for the FNP track, and the anticipation is killing me!

Any chance you can tell us if the email was specific to you or did it seem like it was for accepted students in general?

Wow! I will second that, congrats Penn2007!! I am so jealous! I am dying to hear back! I applied for the Women's Health track. I figured they would notify us via snail mail. Did they say they would send a packet with forms and stuff?

Dgrimm: I am shocked your friend heard back from MGH by mid-Feb! I thought they didn't send decisions until like April or something. What specialty are you?

I got an email today, I got in for adult health NP!! Does anyone know anything about financial aid? Also, anyone have insights into strengths/weaknesses of this program?

congrats joyslen!! when did you get your email??

i emailed the financial aid person and this was her response:

"if you are going to be enrolled in a graduate program as a degree seeking student and would like to apply for financial aid you will need to complete both the fafsa and the bc graduate financial aid application. our website www.bc.edu/gradaid will give your more information on apply for federal student aid."

Wow! Congrats Everyone! Still haven't heard anything, hope that's completely a bad thing, I wonder if they're doing things by specialty?

Lena-I'm Women's Health also, I wonder if we'll here soon via email based on the other people's responses or by snail mail. Yeah I was shocked she heard so early from MGH, but she also got a really big merit scholarship from them so she was probably a "hot" candidate.
