Boston College Direct Entry MSN 2019

Updated:   Published

Starting a thread for Boston College Direct Entry MSN applicants for Summer 2019. Looks like we are the last class before BC goes to a DNP direct entry program!

I'm applying for the Psych/MH track, based on work/life experiences in the mental health realm. My cousin went through the BC program a few years ago, loved it, and has a job she really enjoys.

@kf123 I can make one if you send me your email!

Accepted for pediatrics!! Whoohoo

@Haleymp I was looking at Regis and MGH but BC is my first choice! So definitely going there

Monday I was going to have to pay my second deposit for Regis if I didn’t hear back from anywhere else so I’m very happy that BC let us know before then! ?

I'd love to know if you make one!!

Here's the facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/231848694368805/

Let me know if that doesn't work!

Can anyone confirm that they had a merit scholarship attached to their decision?

Just requested to join! Thanks for making it ?

I was accepted for PNP and didn’t get any scholarship/aid info!

Waitlisted for PMHNP. At least there's hope. Anyone know when people typically start getting in off the waitlist?

No financial aid info other than how to apply for it in the financial aid portal

I was rejected! I have already committed to another program but felt like putting my result here anyways. My stats are decent, but I am still in undergrad and lack any real interesting healthcare experience. I will say, though, that the idea of entering an MSN program when the DNP will be the new NP standard by 2021 is not appealing to me in the slightest.

In that same vein, BC sent an email a while back stating they are going to offer a “seamless transition” option for this cohort into their DNP program.

Has anyone heard any more details about that?

Just got waitlisted for the FNP program. This is probably the best kind of news I have heard amidst all the rejections I have been getting this year LOL. Ditto to the post above, does anyone have any info on waitlists? Like how many are placed on the waitlists and how often do the waitlists move? Do they have a ranking system? I called the office earlier and I didn't get any info on the waitlists besides what was stated on the email so if anyone has any info on this (esp people who are currently in the program right now or who have completed it), that would definitely help ease the stress of all this waiting!
