Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) Spring 2021

Published

Hi , Creating this thread for anyone applying for Spring 2021 at BMCC . I didn’t get in last round so will plan to sit the HESI in December hopefully . Not sure what my PCI is but I got A’s in everything except AP1 which I got a B in . Please share tips or info so we can help each other . I’m in my 40’s and I’ve young kids so this is definitely a career change for me !

Hi all!

I took my HESI today

Math: 94%

A&P: 84%

Reading: 86%

Critical Thinking: 750 ?

Overall: 88%

Prereqs I got all A except for English I got a B which I took at my previous college (PCI is 3.8 I think). After looking at everyone's grades IDK if I'm going to get in ? Does anyone know how to calculate HESI and PCI combined grade? Lastly, how does the day and evening program work (81 seats each, or 81 total)?

Technically its 84.75 when u include crit thinking score. You're pretty close to mine. My HESI for all 4 was 85 something. My pci GPA is 4.0. Minimum pass for each HESI section is 73% so you did that.

Remember you have to calc 50% of pci and HESI then add together. For me thats 92.6%. Thats the big picture, thats how the decisions will be made. 50% HESI plus 50% pci

Hoping everyone here gets inside.  81 seats I total. Majority will be day.  2/3 day 1/3 night.

After calculating mine im 90.25%.  ? this december is getting longer and longee lmao  for anyone wondering how to calculate. Add all 4 sections for crit its by the thousand so 750/1000 is 75% divide by 4 then your GPA is (number)/4  x 100 then add both gross then divide by 2. Thats your position

Hope this resurrects you a bit ? they've taken ppl with less than what you have before. You just need to look at past semesters on here. Thats what I did.

Although their capacity is 2 rooms x 16 seats x 6 days (??)... Do you think its possible some ppl didn't make it to their exam?

That's probably because the past semesters aren't as competitive as this semester. They'll only take the top 81

Not sure why this semester would be more competitive?... Remember not everyone who took the test is posting here. I think theres like what 8 or 9 of us on here? Its not a big enough sample of scores to draw conclusions from.

Am I wrong about the seat count for the testing? Correct me if mistaken, guys... But if I recall, I don't think every seat in the room was filled due to social distancing? In my row, there was a guy 2 seats over on my right and a girl two seats over on my left. Was this the case for all of you?

If so then the headcount for the test would be smaller.

On my session there was only 1 room.

When I took it only 1 room was used and then they had removed a few people and told them to reschedule.

Guys. Hopefully everyone didn't wanna go to school due to the pandemic. Lmao so crossing fingers the size.of the apllicants are small!

Sorry I meant to say 2x a day not 2 rooms. My mistake. So its 2x a day x 9 students(??) Covid capacity x 6 days... Am I right?

@jss1985 I counted in my session 16 people taking the exam.
