@jss1985 I counted in my session 16 people taking the exam.

Really? So they used every seat in the room when you tested?

It was a big room. We were two computers apart from each other basically

On my session there was only 1 room.

When I took it only 1 room was used and then they had removed a few people and told them to reschedule.

Guys. Hopefully everyone didn't wanna go to school due to the pandemic. Lmao so crossing fingers the size.of the apllicants are small!

LOL yeah I was also hoping the pandemic would weed out in another way too... Like as soon as COVID dropped in Spring 2020, there HAD to be a good number of people who saw what nurses had to deal with in this pandemic and said to themselves "Ohh hell no, I'm changing my major now, I don't want that!" ?

I mean c'mon, that has to put the competition in our favor somehow. That's why I can't see how this semester could possibly be more competitive than pre-covid

Aside from that, financial strain too.. so they probably would skip school this year to recoup their losses. Unfortunately

Wow, so then there's no real way to estimate the amount of students testing then.

One person said they used two rooms with 16 people. In. So im thinking around 200-ish people applied. But to be honest I think if you have a 3.5 GPA and u got a 85 below its gonna be tough.  They might cut anyone 90 below

Hi all!

I took my HESI today

Math: 94%

A&P: 84%

Reading: 86%

Critical Thinking: 750 ?

Overall: 88%

Prereqs I got all A except for English I got a B which I took at my previous college (PCI is 3.8 I think). After looking at everyone's grades IDK if I'm going to get in ? Does anyone know how to calculate HESI and PCI combined grade? Lastly, how does the day and evening program work (81 seats each, or 81 total)?

Quoting from previous year:

P.S. For any of you wondering how to calculate your ranking score.

Take your GPA, divide by 4.0 (the max GPA you can get at BMCC) and multiply by 50.

Example: a 3.75 GPA and a 78% Kaplan score.

3.7/4.0 = 0.9375

0.9375 * 50 = 46.875

Then take your Kaplan score, convert to a decimal and multiply by 50.

.78 * 50 = 39

Add those two scores together to get your ranking score.

46.875 + 39 = 85.875%

I was thinking 200+ students too, with 2 sessions a day. My session had 17-18 students on 12/1.  I don’t know how many rooms they used. I guess only S603?

If I count the critical thinking part, I’m about 91%... without it 96

I was thinking they may use the critical thinking as a tie break - like if a LOT of students have the same score how do they decide who gets in and who doesn’t . Does it go to your other grades - they can’t use those if you from another school right ?
