Hi , Creating this thread for anyone applying for Spring 2021 at BMCC . I didn’t get in last round so will plan to sit the HESI in December hopefully . Not sure what my PCI is but I got A’s in everything except AP1 which I got a B in . Please share tips or info so we can help each other . I’m in my 40’s and I’ve young kids so this is definitely a career change for me !
Does anyone know anything about the day program lottery? I emailed her on Monday but haven't heard back.
Im trying to understand how it works. Based on past semesters on here, the students register themselves for the morning or afternoon sections based on the "number" they pick? That part is confusing to me. The smallest numbers mean you're in the morning and the biggest ones mean you're in the afternoon.
From where and how do we pick these numbers? Or Does the department just randomly email you a number? It doesnt make sense that we pick our own numbers because we're not stupid and would pick the ones we want for the section we want.. Right?

This is the information I was given as well, by someone uninformed! So I had taken my pre-reqs at BMCC like two years ago then applied for nursing and was told I need to be registered for a class. So I registered for a class (waste of money) and then found out that we don't need to be in any class in order to apply for the program so I ended up dropping the class but only got half the money back so I wasted $400? What they mean, I think is you have to be a BMCC matriculated/ readmitted student and I believe that costs $20? I don't know where you took your pre-reqs, I am not sure how transfers in actually work and if you are one.

I am in the same position. I re admitted and asked the admissions to matriculate me. I don't think you need to register for classes.

It depends on what applicants are applying with. You may or may not have a chance. Last cohort had a 3.89? GPA and up from my understanding. And they did not have to take the HESI due to covid.

I think my scores are good enough but I didn't take any classes for fall 2020. (I finished all prereqs on Spring 2020) I am worried if that would make me unqualified for the program.
I didn't realize that I have to be active for fall 2020 until it was too late to register.
Is there anyone with the same concern?
You don't have to be taking a class.
