Hi , Creating this thread for anyone applying for Spring 2021 at BMCC . I didn’t get in last round so will plan to sit the HESI in December hopefully . Not sure what my PCI is but I got A’s in everything except AP1 which I got a B in . Please share tips or info so we can help each other . I’m in my 40’s and I’ve young kids so this is definitely a career change for me !

I applied for the day...I would have preferred the evening but I figured I had a better chance going for the day since there are 2 section instead of one like the evening.

What about you?

Day as well, you should be fine. I am more anxious than you since I only have a 3.77 GPA. And a 87.33% and 830 on crit think. Hopefully. It's enough.  Have all A's except english  and it had to be that one that's dragging me down. Lmao.  If you add those up. Divide it by 3. Im sitting at 88.19% . Barely 90 ?

I'm sure you will get in too! I know that students with 3.5 GPA and 82 on Kaplan were able to get in the previous years.  Also, you have to take into consideration that there are around 200 (or more) people applying for the program and it does not mean that all of them have perfect GPA and good HESI score.  Yes, we can see that people in this thread have very good scores, BUT the number of  people who shared their results here is very very small ( I did not count but it looks like around 7 people) so it is too early to make any conclusions. ?

How did you find out your combined score ? I sat the HESI today my score was the AP math and Reading is 94.66 average .I got 840 for the critical thinking .My GPA Is my downfall only on a B on AP  all the rest were A’s so I think that puts my PCI at 3.7 Hope it’s enough !
good luck everyone .applying for the day myself .What other schools programs you all looking at? Need to get my plan B in motion once the semester is over . I’ve only 2 more classes to graduate with my associates .

3.7/4 x100 then add your HESI, then add uour crit think which is 840/1000 which is 84%

Same here man im all A's except for a B- in english which was taken when I was 17 ._. 8 years ago

I think you'll get in.  You are sitting at 90%. Did you apply for night or morning? When did u took your HESI and was there alot of people?

Did the HESI on Wednesday at 2 -  16 ppl per room 2 rooms going so 32 ppl yesterday alone in the afternoon. If all the sessions were full morning and afternoon I was figuring their could be over 300 applicants . Not sure if it goes  all next week too  , could be even more ppl in contention.

Applying for the day  . I’m not sure my 90 is  enough it’s so competitive. They admitted fewer applicants last semester because of COVID and the unpredictable of it . I thought I was great with my grades !  Best of luck to you

Hi guys!

Congrats to all of you above!

I applied for nights/weekend.

I’m a bit nervous, I finished first on HESI in 2 hours.

Math 94%
A+P 92%
Reading 90%
Overall 92%

My PCI I guess is 4.0 because I only have A’s and I finished all prerequisites except Bio420 but I’m getting an A in that too.

I’m thinking that 92% might be low and I won’t get in.
Let’s pray!

810/1000

I work in medical field since 2007, we really don’t do things in real life the way it’s presented on critical thinking exams ?

Same I worked in the medical field since 2013, some of the questions are kind of like? Huh? U sure? Lmao. But ofcourse you gotta choose the textbook answer.

Wish you luck on getting in. Im looking at the possibility of not getting in and trying to see if I should transfer. The one thing thats dragging my GPA is the english some institution allows you to substitute the english 101 for 102, which I got an A on. And the worse case scenario is do the LPN route on laguardia.

I took the HESI a few days ago and got 95 overall. My GPA is 4.0 on the prerequisites. I think my scores are good enough but I didn't take any classes for fall 2020. (I finished all prereqs on Spring 2020) I am worried if that would make me unqualified for the program.

I didn't realize that I have to be active for fall 2020 until it was too late to register.

Is there anyone with the same concern?

The bar is really high this year LOL

That’s why I’m concerned my 92% is not enough...

To Ticiaa

Don't be so worried with a perfect GPA + 92 on your HESI!

The weekend/evening is less competitive and I am sure you will get in without any problem.

I was just worried about not meeting the requirement, and I applied for the day program.

Good luck to you!
