I bought my books for Health Safety off of Amazon. Now I am irritated. First of all one of books has not been shipped after a week. No response from the seller. I understand that sometimes it takes a while but seriously she can not respond to my e-mail. Second I ordered another book that had 2 volumes and only received one. Of course I have not gotten any responses from sellers and I am trying to study. On the book that has never shipped I was told I would have to wait until June 20th before I can cancel order. Very disappointed. Just needed to vent and I am curious to see where other people buy their books from so i do not have to deal with this next time.

I managed to find several of them by visiting the student bookstores at local schools that have nursing programs. I also checked out books from the library for free or for the $1 fee that was charged to obtain a book through an interlibrary loan.

I got most of mine off Ebay, or on the EPN--alot of students who pass their exams sell the books right after. I honestly did not use all the texts they require though.

I purchased all of my books from Amazon.com, fortunately for me I had excellent sellers who also responded with emails. If you ever have to use Amazon.com again always check the seller's ratings to see if they have @ least a 97-99% rating or better. Also read any comments that people have when they rate them for prompt service, shipping and the condition of the books they sell to see how other buyers rate them, and this will give you a head's up if you should buy from them or not. Also, try half.com a lot of people use them because of the cheaper price and some books are only one edition behind and they are stilll good to use, same information, just not the same pages as the newer editon of the new books. Also you can try cheapbooks.com Good Luck hope this information helps you!!!!

If you get a good Med-Surg book that should carry you through. I also used my Saunders NCLEX to study for most of exams, when I needed more clarification, I used the med surg book.

i agree...i used my med-surg book from lpn school..and the outline for each exam that ec provided for free. that was it. whatever you do don't use college network or any company like them..i don't even know if they are still around, but their study books set me back about four grand, and weren't helpful. just an fyi. good luck to you!

As stated by someone earlier, check the seller(s) ratings to ensure good customer service. I used these sites before and did not have a bad experience.

Did you recently go through Excelsiors? Or did you use your med- surg book and the outline for each exam from EC with the old Nursing concepts exams? I think my med-surg book may be too old at 11 years!!

I rented mine from campusbookrental.com. It was usually under $20 for a semester length rental, less if you wanted it less time like I did usually. I found this to be a great option since I didnt want anymore college textbooks laying around that I didnt need anymore.
