Good book
yes / no?
Its a little pricey, so I want to make sure its a good reference? My library doesnt have it:crying2:
I read it in Barnes & NOble in about 20 minutes--did not feel it was much at all worthwhile and did not purchase it.
Judith, I did the same. Heard about the book last year, went to the local book store to find it - skimmed through it in a few minutes and realized it was just the basics about Nursing School and I could learn so much more here on AllNurses.Com...
Just my opinion - Someone telling you what Nursing School is like - is like someone telling you what it's like to give birth to a Baby. They'll tell you it's painful, but when it's all over with - you'll breath a sigh of relief and be forever thankful that you did it. Each - is something you must experience for yourself to truly understand it - because it just can't be totally expressed in words. Susan - currently going through the "2nd Trimester" of Nursing School :chuckle
We also had a book called Test Success for Nursing Students on our "recommended" list. I forgot about it until I saw it on my shelf. Someday when I'm old and done with studying and taking the NCLEX, maybe I'll have time to read it!! LOL
I don't know how they expect nursing students to read all of this extraneous stuff, when we can barely get the required readings done. As it is, I'm spending almost my whole vacation doing schoolwork!

I liked it, but I checked it out from my library.
