Texas is famous for hassling nurses, especially uppity ones who question the status quo or seek advanced practice. This article is about TX (again).
From posters' responses here, Arizona is muy difficult also.

Any state that has the yee-haw "tough on crime" mindset loves cracking down on nurses by using the slippery slope argument of the killer neurosurgeon in Dallas. They don't see how toxic and petty most reports are.

If only medical boards were half as aggressive and punitive as nursing boards are we would have fewer Covid Quacks offering up misinformation and novel treatment ideas during a pandemic.

So this is another reason to get out of nursing. On top of the horrible conditions:pay:patient ratios we get to get threatened and reported as a result of an environment that creates the problems. wow.
