Hi all. I know I haven't been around for a while, but I have been busy with my new job and studying for and taking boards, plus my stepchildren are here for the summer and my computer time is WAY down. And..... I passed boards!!!! I am now officially a registered nurse!!!! It feels kind of weird, though. I walk down the hall to go to work and feel like a complete fake. And I've noticed that I am more scared now about charting than I was when I was in school. I guess because I always felt I had a safety net in school! I do have a really good orientation/preceptor program and will be on orientation for 10-12 weeks, more if I need it.
Hope you all are well. I will try to pop in as often as I can!

Thanks, Rick, nice to see you again! I've missed being here.
Thanks to you, too, puzzler. My DON was telling me the same thing. She took her boards in July and didn't find out until September!! How awful that must have been. Her mother called her at work to tell her the results were there. She wouldn't let her mother read them because she didn't want to have to leave work if she failed!!! It's seems almost inhumane to make someone wait that long.
