Binghamton BAT 2021-2022

Hey everyone! Just starting a thread for this cycle's BAT/ABSN program at Binghamton that's starting next Summer 2021. I've just submitted the SUNY transfer app, but holding off on submitting the actual BAT app for a little while longer. Hoping we can use this thread to talk about the program and post questions like years prior! The deadline isn't until November so it's still way early, but having the thread ready to go doesn't hurt. I'm also applying to Buffalo and Brockport so I'll likely be active in those threads as well! ?

From what I know from talking to admissions we need 2 Gen chem courses but definitely talk to them this week to see what prerequisites you still need!

I took general chem 1/2 but admission will verify all the prerequisites to make sure we are qualify

Yeah I took Gen Chem 1 and 2 at Brockport.

Looks like more decisions trickled out. I was accepted!!

Did anyone else hear back today? I got the email a little after 5pm.

Congrats!! What are your stats if you don’t mind me asking? I’m still anxiously waiting!

Thank you! My prereq was ~3.7, cumulative is a bit over 3.4 (super weak freshman year with a big upward trend after I transferred schools). I have both TA and research experience in microbio with lots of other medical experience both locally and abroad. I'm also a CNA and my first degree was in biology.

Feeling such sweet relief right now but I know the way they're slowly releasing decisions is rough! Hoping you (and everyone else still waiting!) hear good news soon!!

Got an acceptance around 5pm today as well!

I just heard back and was accepted! My stats were similar! My overall GPA ~ 3.4 and prereq GPA ~ 3.65

Thanks! You guys too? I am unsure at the moment because I am still waiting to hear back from a few other places but it is definitely one of my top choices! I'm coming from Binghamton, where are you coming from?

Thank you! I’m from NYC ? And yess I will most likely be accepting my admission. I’m a bing alum and I really loved my college experience there.

Ha! I thought you meant what university because I am currently a senior at Binghamton but I am coming from Long Island!
