Binghamton BAT 2021-2022

Hey everyone! Just starting a thread for this cycle's BAT/ABSN program at Binghamton that's starting next Summer 2021. I've just submitted the SUNY transfer app, but holding off on submitting the actual BAT app for a little while longer. Hoping we can use this thread to talk about the program and post questions like years prior! The deadline isn't until November so it's still way early, but having the thread ready to go doesn't hurt. I'm also applying to Buffalo and Brockport so I'll likely be active in those threads as well! ?

Did you get your admissions decision before you submitted your final transcript for this semester then? I just took A&P II (got an A-) and English Comp 2 (A) this Fall and emailed them a pdf of my unofficial transcript on Wednesday but since the admissions office closed a day later, I don’t think they looked it at yet. And I’m taking my last pre-req, Statistics, right now through Portage Learning so I’m hoping I’ll get good news after they open!

Yes I got my acceptance before I submitted my final transcript! I think since I only had one prereq left in progress and my first bachelor’s was already completed that it worked in my favor! I’m sure that once they review fall semester grades, a larger wave of decisions will be released shortly after the holiday break! It definitely doesn’t seem like many have heard back yet!

I’m pretty sure it was automated. I got it too. They likely set a date and time for certain promotional emails to go out, even if the office is closed.

Anyone hear anything yet on when we might hear back since the office is open again?

Hoping for sometime this week. The wait has been so long ? if not this week, then most likely next week according to last years timeline. This process has been so stressful and I keep checking the portal and my email even though I know there is nothing ?

Just got an email that the virtual admitted student day event is Feb 1 so my best guess is that a majority of decisions will likely be out by then. No clue, but that just seems like it would make sense!

They must be only sending that to accepted students, I never received one. Hopefully in the next few weeks we all know. I was emailing admissions this week and they said decisions are released right through January. Fingers crossed!

yeah it’s just for admitted students! But what I was saying is that I’m sure the rest of y’all will be hearing back with initial decisions (accepted/rejected/waitlisted) before that date!

Anyone else just get a random email from Bing Admissions about making sure that we keep track of our status checker? I rushed over to see if there were any updates and there was nothing but that email almost gave me a heart attack!
