Binghamton BAT 2021-2022

Published

Hey everyone! Just starting a thread for this cycle's BAT/ABSN program at Binghamton that's starting next Summer 2021. I've just submitted the SUNY transfer app, but holding off on submitting the actual BAT app for a little while longer. Hoping we can use this thread to talk about the program and post questions like years prior! The deadline isn't until November so it's still way early, but having the thread ready to go doesn't hurt. I'm also applying to Buffalo and Brockport so I'll likely be active in those threads as well! ?

Same here

I just got waitlisted which is fine because I was already accepted to Emory's direct entry MSN program and they have one of the top programs in the country so I was going to decline my spot at Binghamton anyway. If anyone else is still looking to apply to programs, Emory is still accepting applications and they have an Accelerated BSN program and an accelerated BSN+MSN program. You don't have to take the GRE to apply and the application is super quick and easy. Good luck to everyone!

also waitlisted! I accepted my spot, will any of you also be accepting your spot?

Waitlisted too ... and I have no back up

I got into to UB’s program so I’m not going to put myself on the waitlist IDK. I want bing because it closer than Buffalo from the city , 4hrs vs 7hrs but I don’t want to risk it and wait and plus I had to accept UB offer since the 4th, the rest of these schools took to long to drop decisions

If you're willing to move to another state for school, Emory is worth taking a look into. They are all the way down in Georgia but they have an amazing nursing program and they are still accepting applications for both their accelerated nursing programs which start in May.

Did you guys receive emails or are y'all just refreshing status checker?

Is it hard to get into? What’s the application process like? Any Interview or entrance exams?

I only had a 3.4 GPA overall and I got accepted but I also had previous healthcare experience. There was no interview or entrance exams. You just apply directly online to the program you want and submit your pre-reqs and transcripts. The essay is optional but recommended. Recommendations are also optional. When you apply you can only apply to 1 program so you have to choose either the accelerated MN which is what they call the Accelerated BSN program which is 15 months or the AMSN which is the accelerated BSN + MSN program and that is 2.5 years. If you choose the AMSN program you do have to choose what speciality you want by they have almost every specialty.
