Big envelope = accepted. Small = rejected?

Published

I need to prepare myself. If I get a big envelope, I'll open it ASAP and see if I really got accepted. If I get a small one, I'll start crying and I won't open it until somebody makes my day worse. And when my day can't get any worse, I'll open it up! :)

If you got wait-listed, what kind of envelope would you get?

I received a small envelope for my rejection letters AND for my acceptance letter. It depends on the school.

I got an acceptance email before the letter came in the mail. When my letter did come, it was a single piece of paper in a 8 1/2 x 11 envelope. You really can't trust the size of the envelope, every school does it differently. Go ahead and open it when it comes!! Good luck!

My acceptance letter came in a business sized envelope. I opened it, expecting a rejection or to be waitlisted. I saw the back first, saying something about TB testing and CPR certification, which seemed to be a good thing, then I opened the front and read, "Congratulations..."

I definitely screamed :p

Moral of the story, don't judge a letter by its envelope size.

I got a regular sized envelope for my acceptance letter.

Depends on how the school does it really. I've gotten small letters that were acceptance letters and small rejection letters.

For my MEPN program I got a regular sized envelope (small) with my acceptance letter. Whatever you get, open it up!! Good luck!
