Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Beth Israel NYC for this coming Fall? I applied there and I really want to get in. I always wanted to go. If anyone knows if it's hard to get in, or what score they are looking for on the NLN exam that would be rally helpful. And is it true that the only start giving interviews in May????
Hi,
I am applying to PBISN at the moment, am originally from Europe, and am at a bit of a loss as to all the pre-requirements. I have completed most of my application and am having transcripts sent to PBISN ( I have completed high schoo, a BA and an Msc in the UK), but am worried as not sure if I have to have completed microbiolosy, nutrition, diet therapy etc BEFORE applying, or if this applies to transfer students only?
This is my first post, so I just posted it in this thread as you guys seem to all be familiar with the application process, but apologies if this is the wrong forum,
Thanks
Lily
LIly127,
Nutrition,Psychology, nor the other liberal arts courses are prerequisites for PBISON. These classes can be taken as a part of the program, but Biology and chemistry are prerequisites. If you took these courses in high school, they count as fufilled prerequisites. If not, try to take them during the summer. Cuny Schools offer summer sessions.
Good luck.
I just sent in my application today! I'm taking the NLN exam on April 8th. I pray that I get in! I didn't know about the exam requirements until I read this thread... how did you guys find out?
I took the NLN-LPN in October for another school (which I got accepted to) & got an overall 118 Composite Score. I can only imagine that the NLN-RN is much harder, so I'm going to have to study hard for the next 2 weeks! Science is my weakest subject but I kick ass in Math & Reading!
I can only hope for an acceptance & wish you all the same fate!

"I received my public administration degree at Medgar Evers, I tried to get into the nursing program, but that is a battle left for the lucky and young lol ."
That's what I thought too
but after reading some posting here in allnurses.com I got inspired to stay in the battle and try harder.
