Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Beth Israel NYC for this coming Fall? I applied there and I really want to get in. I always wanted to go. If anyone knows if it's hard to get in, or what score they are looking for on the NLN exam that would be rally helpful. And is it true that the only start giving interviews in May????
Triple A's, I'm too embarassed to say but I remember I only had an AD overall of 84th percentile.. I really thought I wouldn't get an interview and get a rejection letter because one of my friends took the test a week before me and she received a rejection. But I was glad that I got an email and got my hopes up, for now.
I guess its not really just about the NLN scores. I have a 3.6 gpa and have taken all the required science and liberal art courses. The only thing I'm gonna say is that I got a low grade on the English part but the others were fine. She asked me about it and she said it was okay and moved on.. She gives you a chance to explain yourself if you have certain weaknesses which is really great. She also made me talk to 2 graduates from Beth and made them tour me around the school. I really like Beth Israel because its so small and its like you're gonna know everyone (maybe a little bit too much).
Overall, they were really nice. The notification of acceptance, I'm guessing will come somewhere around the end of May and she said that it will include the financial aid package and the books I'm gonna need for the fall.
Thanks for sharing NurseRica, you have nothing to be ashamed of you did quite well. You said one of your friends already received a rejection letter? now I am scared, I didn't know they sent them so early. What were her NLN scores and GPA?
I believe, but could be wrong, they have 120 seats. What program did you apply for ATOP, evening......
congratulations on your interview NurseRica, I wish you the best of luck. Triple A's, what was unfortunate for Rica's friend could be a sign of oppertunity for you. Didn't you take the NLN before Nurserica's friend? You haven't received a rejection letter yet . My friend had an interview and informal acceptance yesterday. The woman interviewing her told her PBISON feels honored she applied to their program. My friend is a master student. Seh has a MBA and likely 4.0 or higher gpa. I'm really happy for her. I"m working hard to calm my nerves.
I applied for day classes. But she asked me if ever the seats were taken for day session, I could be interested in nights or weekends. So I guess, if there's not enough seats.. theyll put you in another program. Not so sure tho. Triple As, on your interview.. did she say when theyre gonna be deliberating on acceptance? She just told me May 11.
And honeycuts, I dont know what she got for her nln results (we're not really close) But anyway, yes I agree.. the rejection is a good sign for you!
I dont think she has a good enough gpa.. and nln score. I cant really give a number. I'm guessing she has like a 3.0 or maybe lower and a composite of 110.
When I was waiting for my interview, I heard the receptionist scheduling interviews and she was saying that there's 2 interviews coming up tomorrow or some other day. Don't quote me on that cuz I was a little disoriented and very nervous at that time.
Lily127,
I encourage you to give them a call if you haven't already. Confirm that they have received
all the requested documents. I encouraged my friend who received a score in the 97% to call
and they scheduled her interview during that phone call....Good luck everyone.
I've decided to do myself a favor and relax my nerves until May 12
Hi Honeycutts! Really, you think I should call!? I am worried about annoying Ms Gallo, but maybe I should call? Does anyone know the best direct number to call? I actually need to know quite soon, as I have to go home to see my Nana in Europe in May, as she is sick, and trying to schedule everything , whilst waiting for an interview is extremely hard!
Thanks for your help

Thanks for sharing. I didn't realise there could be such a lag between NLN results and an interview...that is good and bad..good as that give you hope for a few weeks, and bad as there is lots of waiting lol!
Let us know how it goes!
