It probably would be best since everything is fresh. If I had it my way, I would have taken the exam maybe 3-4 wks after graduation, but things didn't work out that way. I hope I pass it when I take it in 10 days...I have done alot of preparation, but it's still a lot to remember and the longer I wait, the harder it gets to retain info.
See thats what I was thinking...wait about a month. My friend signed up to take it 10 days after school ended and passed with 75 questions but I just think that when my time comes I will want at least a month.
THis is totally up to you, I waited a 2 months to take it (had a baby) but if i could do it all over i would still wait about a month to take it just so i can do more studying...but that is just me...
I'm taking my boards exactly one month from graduating. I graduated July 22 and taking boards tomorrow ! I'm so nervous, but I'm taking them now while the info. is still fresh. I've been doing nclex questions and just trying to prepare as best as possible. BTW I'm sooooo freakin nervous ! Yikes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just took NCLEX on Wednesday - 12 days after my graduation - and I passed with 75 questions. The anticipation of waiting would have killed me. I just spend several days doing TONS of practice questions and took the first spot open after I got my ATT. Of course, you have to know what kind of preparer you are and how much you have retained from school but my experience taking it ASAP has been GREAT!
Thanks!

My school recommends taking the test as soon as possible after graduation - they say your chances of passing is better. Lets speculate that the school is on top of things and you are cleared to take the exam the week after finals. When would you take it?
I guess it would help to know if you have studied throughout school and plan to just reinforce things and do NCLEX practice questions or will do an extensive comprehensive review.
