  1. blindsided, you will be fine! yay you now can weigh yourself daily! lol jk dont do that! i used to do it and then would be discouraged because i would see my weight go up and down depending on how much water i had for the day...today i got in one hour of zumba and will have cereal for dinner.
  2. Wow! i'm glad we have new people in this forum! welcome! I just started to work this week! I will be very busy, i will be working full time in the hospital, and on my days off will work part time with mollen immunizations. I know it will definately be a challenge for me to keep up with this, but i am determined to do so, i am so close to my goal weight that i CANT give up now...do you guys think that i can count the walking that i do during my work part of my workouts??? i work 12 hour shifts and i get ALOT of walking done.... Congrats k morris!!!!! 20lbs that is great!! i'm sure that you can tell taht you lost weight, 20lbs is ALOT, and you may not notice it but others will, and it will make you feel great when others tell you how great you look. I LOVE the idea of the challenge! I am determined to lose two pounds this week!!! that would put me THREE pounds away from my goal weight!!!!!!! Keep it up everyone!!!
  3. blindsided..wow 6 for 6??? oh boy i dont even think of working out on the weekends! i'm horrible...I only consider monday-fri to be working out days...geez maybe that is why i am not losing as much as i want huh??? my goal is that i lose 2-3lbs by the 20th of this month...that is when my baby will be 3 months...I really want to be in the 120's!!! For some odd reason i always thought that i would lose all of my baby weight by 3 months..i was wrong! The first month after i had given birth to my son the weight just came off so easily that i thought it would be a piece of cake to shed the remaining of the baby weight...wrong again. I will measure myself soon with the measuring tape and let you all know if i see a difference in my measurements...i hope so!

  7. Hello everyone! TOday, i decided it is time to start using weights in my workout routine. I will now workout my arms with free weights on mon, wed, and fri. I like toned arms and i want to get mine nice and firm. I did about an hour in the gym, mainly using free weights for my arms and did 15 minutes in the step machine. Blindsided, i have 5lbs weights if you want to borrow them..lol When i was pregnant i would use the one or two pound weights to walk and my husband would use the five pound ones, but we dont walk anymore so we dont use any of them! keep it up the good workouts!
  8. I just got hired to work in a pediatric unit at my local hospital. I was told my base pay, but was not told if i would get night differential, i have not signed any paperwork yet, will it be on my new hire payperwork if we have night/weekend differentials in our hospital? do most hospitals have night/weekend diff?
  9. Welcome studentnurse and alippin! blindsided, you have lost alot of weight! I think we are all trying to get to the 120's right??? then let's do this! I went down one pound this last week..not much but alot for me, I really try to avoid weighing myself because i havent seen much progress, so i just hate to see the same number on the scale week after week...let's keep this up girls!
  10. blindsided, you seem very on track w/your weight loss, if you dont mind sharing, what has been your total weight loss since you started your workouts?? i'm sure you have lost alot, you seem so dedicated, good for you!
  11. I live in southern Arizona, I just applied online to the hospital website, and they gave me a call back for an interview! Our hospital is pretty good with hirnig new grads, they have this partnership or something like that with our school, there was not any job oppenings for a while just ER (which i was not interested in) and finally when i saw the peds posting i applied immediately, i however thought they wanted some type of experience, but to my surprise they were fine with no experience at all! I will work night shifts, I will let you know know how it goes, thanks! Are they asking for experience in the area where you live? or are there no jobs at all??
  12. I just accepted a night shift job, the HR lady did tell me my hourly base pay but did not mention night diff or weekend diff. does that mean our hospital does not have night/weekend differentials??
  13. Hello all! well i have been really bad with my week's workout...only did one day!!!! however, i do have good news that will make up for my poor workouts...i now have a job!!!!!!! I had my interview on thursday and on friday i was offered a position in a pediatrics unit! I am so excited! It will definately be harder to keep up with my workouts but I am going to make it mandatory that i atleast get in three days a week... K morris, i am sorry to hear about your interview, keep your head up and dont give up and you will see before you know it, the perfect opportunity will come up! Your weight loss has been amazing! You are three pounds away from loosing a grand total of TWENTY lbs!!!!!! be very proud of yourself... Good luck to the rest!
