I have looked at stethoscopes at uniform stores and I think they can be outrageously priced.
Any suggestions?
I am looking to get a Littmann or something that is considered of the same quality. Any suggestions?

Shoot for medisave.net. I went with a 2-day air rush and they got it engraved and picked up by FedEx within an hour. Came in on time before my first skills day.

Use medisave - definitely! I ordered my Littman Lightweight from them. It was engraved and shipped the same day I ordered. All together I spent $55, and that was with 3 day shipping.

Thanks for all the responses, I actually contacted Visa to try to recoup my money which they said would probably be next to impossible, but I did place an order with allheart for the exact same thinklabs electronic stethoscope.:wink2:

I found good deals from a local home health pharmacy (it's a pharmacy that sells home health items i.e. adaptive equipment), school book store and ebay. I bought my master cardiology from there for only $95.
I also found this site for other stuff. http://www.bpmedicalsupplies.com They have great prices on scissors, hemostats, and penlights. I ordered on Friday as well and haven't received my stuff yet. It shipped on Monday and is shipping regular mail. Shipping was only $1, so I figure I can't expect too much. :)
How did that transaction turn out, is this site reliable?

Best thing to do when ordering online is to pay with your credit card. Normally they offer some kind of fraud protection or buyer's protection and can work something out if you get ripped off even reverse the charge. I have a card that will even offer 90 days of price protection if I use it in store and the item later goes on sale, they refund the difference. It's 100x safer to buy online than it was 5 years ago. Another thought would be to do go under the shopping tab on google and search for it there too. Live dot com had a thing with cash back before. I'm not sure if they still have it, but it did work on my ebay purchases last Thanksgiving. They do take a long time to issue the rebate though. Just my $.02 .

I got mine off ebay from a medical company that happens to sell some products on the site. I got my Littman Classic II SE steth with shipping to hawaii for $74. Its really reasonable to be than what they charge for that steth here in hawaii. (double). Just remember though, make sure the person you are buying it from off ebay has a good history of records and ratings. :)

Thanks for the heads-up on Medisave. I have been looking at allheart - but Medisave won me over with the free engraving (along with the great price). Just placed my order for the Littman Classic II S.E. - hope it's everything I hear it is...

What swayed you to purchase the Littmann Classic II S.E. over the Littmann Cardiology III model - just curious, as I am still debating in my mind over which to get for Nursing school.
