  1. howd you know i'm coming from EVC?
  2. Bump for the topic. I'm having a hard time deciding between here and SJSU. I hear good things about CSUEB but more bad about the actual program at SJSU. How manageable would the program be for someone commuting from San Jose? Thanks
  3. How did that transaction turn out, is this site reliable?
  4. 2NE3. I'm coming into my 2nd week of an ADN program after Labor Day. oh god i still have 20 pages to read by tonight
  5. Shoot for medisave.net. I went with a 2-day air rush and they got it engraved and picked up by FedEx within an hour. Came in on time before my first skills day.
  6. Great find. I was scolded when I first told my peers I cheaped out on buying a legit stethoscope. It was a $13 SpragueLite from another store's closeout section :icon_roll. Feeling shameful, I went home and tested the thing 3-4 different times until i gave up not finding any sign of sound at the pulse sites. I put in a 2-Day Air rush delivery to make sure I got the new steth before tomorrow's first skills lab session and received it promptly with my stylized free engravement. It's been around my neck for hours now, and I can hear much better with my new Classic II SE. Thanks OP
  7. Congrats on making it in. I assume you'll start in the fall?
  8. EVC. I was in the process of applying to SJSU's but I haven't even applied to the actual school itself.
  9. This. Most likely you're living in Santa Clara County, and with that high of a TEAS score and decent GPA, your shot at EVC probably would be better. I made it in with a 3.33 GPA for both my overall and prerequisite science courses and a 80 flat on my TEAS.
  10. Has anyone gotten word about their acceptance to EVC's next program cycle? I only ask because my friend received a call from the Program Coordinator with her good news. I'm envious.
  11. it seems like it all just boils down to your college entrance level. this taken from the sjsu application form, for example: it's not like these incoming freshmen, seconday baccalaureates or international students are even guaranteed a spot in a csu nursing program anyway. i'm sure like most upper division transferees such as myself, they still have to jump through hoops of 2-3 years of grueling prerequisites, screenings and program applications themselves. it is because of this impaction that upperclassmen and county residents get priority---which is certainly not a bad thing. i am positive that any other of my "super senior" peers are just as anxious to get through school and into the real world with full-time jobs. let's just hope this recession doesn't last for more than 2 years.
  12. Sorry to hear, but you know there's always Unitek! (:icon_roll)
  13. It's more of a priority standing if I heard correctly from the Nursing Counselor.. but you'll never get that just by word of mouth =X. DIG DIG DIG
  14. This is true. In total, they accept about 120 students into the program: half start a year after the application is filed (for the current cycle for instance, Fall '09), and the other half a semester later (Spring '10). A lot of my peers never really understood this process; one thing I would highly recommend is to attend EVC's workshops to get the full scoop on the program.
  15. Any one know how many actual "batches" they take a year and the starting dates for 2008? The online representative was useless in answering any of the questions I've asked.
