Hi, I'm looking at entering a nursing program this fall if my stars align and stop playing whack-a-mole with my life.
I discovered while preparing for my TEAS V exam that I remembered more if I watched a youtube vidoe on a subject before and after reading about it.
I read well but some things are just hard to picture in your head without a little help. Example: photosynthesis or meiosis.
I assume others have discovered this as well..
Sometimes I had to dig through a lot of noble attempts at education to find a video that was accurate and on point. Those usually lead to channels and playlists of pure gold.
Now that my TEAS V nightmare is over I want to start compiling videos that will help with the actual nursing classes.
Any help?
I also like Simple Nursing. One relatively unknown person who has done some videos is Kelley Reed. For me, I found her Acid Base video absolutely invaluable to help me remember the differences for resp/metabolic acidosis/alkalosis. She uses humor AND costumes throughout her video, so this might put some people off, but for me, it helped me not forget the information.
I'm actually going to be starting one on my journey through nursing school. I'm trying to figure out if I'm allowed to say what school I'm attending. I've noticed that a lot of nursing students won't say what school they're in. I feel so long as you're not talking about patients or sitting there bashing your school, you should be good...I'm going to ask my advisor if I'm allowed to say though because I am super excited about my ABSN program lol
