Can anyone tell me which pre-req/co-req courses I should take online through which campuses. For example: I've been told several times that it's easier to take ANP101 online through the Terre Haute campus. Surely someone has advice on others. :) I have faith that you guys can help me out! Thank you so much for all of your help in advance.

I've taken Psych 101, Eng 111, Eng 211, and ANP 102 online. The only one I wished I'd taken in class was ANP 102 (I took 101 in class too). I will be taking Soc 111 and Chem 101 online in the future.

I took every pre-req online except advanced physiology which was not offered online. I took all of them through the Terre Haute campus. Did not find any of them intimidating. You just have to be very self-disciplined and basically teach yourself!

I just got done with PSY 101 online...and while the tests were strictly memorization (and a LOT of it) the rest was super easy. I hate to say it...but the paper I BSd the most I got a perfect score on. I ended up with a 96% in that class! I am taking COM 101 and MAT 118 online for the fall, I can let you know how it goes!

I didn't take any pre reqs online, but I have taken 3 co reqs so far online.

SOC 111

ENG 112

COM 102

I took mine from Kokomo. They were all really easy. It was a bit of a curve to get used to doing the classes online. I tend to procrastinate, so many times I found myself scrambling to get essays turned in.

most of them except for English 112 were very short essays so it was pretty easy. I managed to pull A's without a lot of effort.

Of course I look back and think I could have made it much easier on myself if I had gotten things turned in early. I rarely did that, but I never had anything late either.

All of the classes relied heavily on the discussion board and our contribution counted as a large part of out grade. Com & Soc also had online quizzes. OPENBOOK!!

Soc had 3 or 4 essays assigned. We also could watch a chosen video online and answer questions to recieve extra credit.

Eng had 2 major essays. One in APA format and the other in MLA. The first half of the course was mainly doing assignments out of the book. Really easy! The second half of the course was geared around the essays.

I'm taking another online class this semester, and will probally do all of the BSN courses online that I'm adding in while in ASN program.

I think online courses are great.

Having said that. I personally would not take a science course online. I just would be too afraid of not catching all that extra stuff I got in lecture. And, we always had good discussions that pertained to nursing, since that was the direction most of the class was headed.

Yes, please let me know how MAT 118 goes online. I have to take that too and I am terrible with meth.

Most people are terrible when on METH. Maybe you should take care of that before you try to become a nurse.:D

I have taken, PSY 101, COM 102, ENG 111, SOC, CHM, MAT 118 online. I started taking micro online this Summer, but had to drop it because I lost my internet connection for two weeks when I moved. But I had it long enough to know that I really enjoy taking the science classes at the campus. It's the discussion about the topics that really drives the concepts home and makes it interesting.

Oh, almost forgot, I took all of those out of the SB campus.

chem 101 online in the SUMMER!, out of south bend, the teacher is wolfe... I never took chem in high school, didn't have ANY idea of what it would be like (I've been out of high school more than a decade!) and that was one of the easiest classes I've taken yet! highlyyyyyy recommend it!

Thanks Colt, that was helpful. I will take Chem for my BSN, and was hoping to do it online. I am scared to do any science or math online, but it would be convenient. I will keep this class in mind.

Now that I think about it...I wouldn't necessarily want to take a class at a certain campus strictly because it was easier...sometimes I equate easier with not learning as much.

My psych class was easy...but I can't say I learned TOO much from it. I left with more than what I knew before, but not too much. When taking an important class like anatomy or micro, etc, I would want to make sure I learned a lot from that class, because it will be used SO much in our career field.

I will keep that in mind. That's the kind of info I needed. :yeah:
